We finally made it to the end of Season 3! 2 mid level eps and then BAM THAT FINALE!!!! I'm waiting a week before watching the next episode, I'll be avoiding the comments here until then cause I just want to experience a BIT of what it was like for you guys watching it on tv to have to wait to see what the FRIG happens to Picard!!!! Resistance is futile - NO!! He better be ok!!!! π

You think watching Best Of Both Worlds now was intense think how it was for us Trekkies when this first came on TV. Having that episode end with that "to be continued" and that music and remember back then you actually had to wait all summer for the new season to begin. That was a very long summer for those of us waiting to see what happened in Part 2. I think that's the first time I couldnt wait for summer vacation to be over so I could watch a tv show it was that anticipated.

2024-05-26 22:52:26 +0000 UTCI don't remember Best of Both Worlds being a cultural phenomena as much as I personally waiting for the new season. It was a summer of wondering if the whole world for TNG was going to be different. I couldn't imagine the Enterprise D without Picard, but then again I find myself wondering how the world would have been had Picard not survived or worse yet assisted the Borg in conquering the Federation. I can see a future with the Enterprise D commanded by Captain Riker with Shelby as his XO, an interesting alternative timeline. The one with the Federation conquered is too horrific to contemplate.
