2023-11-23 23:00:28 +0000 UTC7:36 probably won't fly on Youtube. I always loved that bit when he graduates college and the recruiter says "Have you given any thought to your future?" and instead of responding with what you might expect, "future?", Forrest says "thought?".

2023-11-23 22:06:03 +0000 UTCIt's funny, looking back - during that year's Oscars film lovers were really driven into two opposing camps; rooting for this or "Pulp Fiction." Because the latter was considered the edgier, art-house movie, "Gump" got an unfair reputation for being just sweet Hallmark card quotes and Baby Boomer nostalgia but the satire in it is absolutely savage, and the way it clues the audience in to deep and really dark trauma is almost unprecedented in a PG-13 studio movie. This role changed the life of Gary Sinise aka Lt. Dan; ever since he has worked tirelessly meeting with veterans' groups who found hope in his character's journey. For my money, my favorite movie that year was "Ed Wood," but it's obvious from your reaction that you saw there's a lot more to this one than just chocolate and great tunes.
