🗳️ Weekly Poll #39

Winner of last week's poll was 🏆 Arachnophobia 😱😱

These are all movies from my HUGE list that I personally would like to see. These polls help me narrow down my own choices from a list of hundreds so thanks for your help!

Movies not chosen may be back on future polls or watched later in schedule. Keep in mind I post 3 movies every week so I try to balance poll choices with what is already on the schedule for the coming week so the result is a nice mix :)

Vote for as many as you like! (This helps me know how much interest there is in each movie)

Thank you! Someone finally said it.

Pitch Black, Underworld, and the Mist!!

RJ MacReady

Pitch Black is definitely not a Halloween movie

DrJonasVenture

You can vote for multiple movies on these polls. As many as you like. If it's not letting you vote for multiple, refresh that page or try a different device

Jen M

I voted for "Underworld" but would've selected "Pitch Black" as well had there been a way to have a 2nd choice. Why? Because non-critically acclaimed films can be entertaining. Even when you're not a post-1987 Millennial. ---HS Class of 1987

Vincent

Good, you can come over and clean the pens in my llama ranch.

Eric Janssen

I'm a bit sad Annihilation never gets much love with people. It's a film full of weird shit and weird shit is good

Patrick

Never understood the love for Pitch Black. At best it's a middling sci-fi b-movie with every side actor out acting Vin Diesel.

Patrick

It’s obvious a lot of post 87 Millennials are voting for Pitch Black. While better choices like The Mist and Doctor Sleep get the short end of the stick.

Joe M

I never heard of it, but then, I don't watch scary movies. I voted for Prey and Coco.

Ensign Ahkinum

Seconding Christine

mikethemotormouth

I know it's Halloween and gory thrillers is usually the norm, but I would like to suggest for a future watch Christine (1983) (John Carpenter based off of Stephen King's novel of the same name), The War of the Worlds (1953), and Forbidden Planet (1956). I have no doubt that you would love Forbidden Planet because it might as well be a prequel to Star Trek.

Dustin Denner

It: Chapter 1 is good, but should be disqualified for its absolute waste of a sequel / second part.

Camron

Totally agree.

Lee Pitman

The 1990 version of "IT" is far better even though both versions have disappointingly cheesy endings.

Chuck Drennen

Awesome to see Pitch Black getting the love it deserves!

Jonathan Callinan-Sullivan

Seriously? The Black Phone has the fewest votes? That's surprising.

Patrick R.

One of these things is not like the others…

Gareth Turner

Voted for underworld being as I love vampire movies blade for example and who doesn't like a kick ass main character, lots of good choices here though so should be a good winner for sure 👍

Ian

Lmao Coco

Julian San

I like how you have the cool emoji in Underworld, if you watch Pitch Black which is great, The Chronicles of Riddick(sequel) is a great movie as well.

FranciscoGios

Definitely the Mist 🌫️. Scariest Stephen King story ever.

Billy DuBose

I'd love to see the whole Underworld franchise with Jen as I love these movies same goes for Resident Evil movies

RebRox65

I would say It Chapter Two is not really a sequel but the latter half of the same story, kinda like Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2

mikethemotormouth

It: Chapter One is better than the original, until the director turns Pt. 2 into his own personal off-topic self-indulgent gay-pride statement, and sends King’s novel careening off a cliff. How about watching the new Pt. 1 and.the original Pt. 2?

Eric Janssen

My favorite John Turturro role

mikethemotormouth

Honestly...no spoilers, but I don't know if you can handle The Mist. I'd highly suggest Pitch Black, though. Saw it in the theater 3 times and loved it so much I made a fan edit of the sequel 🤘

ShadowVessel π

Hannibal and American Psycho are the only 2 I've seen. The former is good, I wouldn't rewatch the other one...

Retro Maven

You have to watch Prey. It is SOOOOO GOOD!

Andy Bodkin

Annihilation is amazing if not this poll hopefully it wins one day

Matt

It's not spooky, but as a Dia de los Muertos thing, Coco is my favorite Pixar movie, and that's up against some real bangers. And it's all about music, so you know you have to watch it. Not a lot of votes yet for Dr. Sleep, but that's a neglected gem. If you watch it, I recommend the director's cut -- it's longer, but the extra scenes are all the things I like the most about that movie. "It" is really good (at least Chapter One is really good -- less so the sequel). And Get Out is amazing.

Jackson Bross

I would definitely suggest the 1990 It

mikethemotormouth

Secret Window with Depp is underrated!

Heartfelt

I'd love an excuse to watch Pitch Black again.

Martin Nicholls

Annihilation is an underrated gem - and "The Mist" is just a gut-punch of a movie. Would love to see either
