Poll winner last week, this one wasn't as scary as The Shining-- a GREAT thing for me lol. Kathy Bates was amazing at being totally unhinged + disturbing and the overall atmosphere did freak me out but it wasn't quite as bad as I feared, so that's good! Scary music + a pretty fascinating scenario! Wish the adorable Sherriff hadn't gone down like that though.

Finally got around to renting the DVD to watch this. Unlike you, I did actually finish the book. One interesting thing from the book that they only vaguely hinted at was the missing key (you could see when he was typing that the "n" was missing as she said). In the book, as the time goes on, more keys break, so when they show what he's typing in the book, more letters are missing. As for Stephen King writing a series, the only main one I can think about is the Dark Tower series (don't watch the movie. I heard it's horrible and there's absolutely no way a single movie can get the main idea behind that series). It's an interesting series in that it kind of tries to tie many of King's stories into a kind of multiverse setting. You might want to consider watching the miniseries of "The Stand" by Stephen King. It's really good. BTW, from the way you reacted to that song early on, you really should watch "The Blues Brothers," The music in that movie (as well as the people who are in it performing those songs) is amazing.
