Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) Full Length Reaction

If on your journey, you should encounter God, God will be cut.

Tarantino does it again! Such a crazy, stylish, violent movie with so many kick-ass lady (+ some dude) fighters! Uma Thurman is awesome, the music is amazing and it's just so so freakin stylish. I'll be doing Volume 2 very soon!

Awesome reaction Jen you were so much on tender hooks at the beginning but at least you remembered to breath 🙂 . The music in this movie is just epic and the action is brilliant gory as heck but brilliant and just think you didn't want anyone to get stabbed lol ummmm about that . Can't wait to watch part 2 with you now and hopefully Jackie brown somewhere down the line cuz you're truly enjoy that one I promise you . Until then cheers Jen this was great 👍

"Once Upon A Time" really surprised me first time i saw it. I think it's quite different from his previous films. Defenetly the most "tamed" one, I feel, aside from the ending. I hope you get to all of his films eventually. Keep it up :)

Oh, to see Evil Jen in a Japanese Kimono and Hattori Hanzō Sword.

Saving this for the weekend but I'm so excited to see your reaction Jen and I am wondering if you pick out a sword and say pick that one 🤔 and of course all your fantastic mannerisms 🙂 it's definitely going to be fun I will need popcorn 🍿 and a beer or two perhaps 🍺

Certainly Tarantino's most iconic pair of movies. Not necessarily his best, though certainly up there, even if not. Not enough people have seen the Japanese cut of part 1, it's way better than the western cut and there are some fundamental differences in the fight scenes; aside from the black and white thing and the longer more violent nature of it they also play up the confusion over who is who in the silhouette where it is super subtle and easy to miss in the western cuts and it is actually pretty cool. Tarantino is one of the very few writer/directors who can create utterly badass and even menacing female characters and have them be completely plausible. As for the question at the end yes you should watch Once Upon a Time and yes, of course, though I personally feel like the big thing about Tarantino that is more important than that is how he's able to squeeze every single drop out of his actors, as time has gone on he's got even better at that and you can tell they enjoy making movies for/with him, he's definitely an actor's director. Oh, yeah, and if it's not obvious from this movie he's a MASSIVE Star Trek fan - on and off he's been attached to make the next Star Trek movie but after some years in the doldrums the Pine/Quinto et al new movie is in production so that probably isn't going to happen; suspect after that movie is released the talk of that might start again, I'd kinda like to see him as a creator/producer and occasional writer of a new Star Trek series when he retires from making movies, that would be cool - like he said, it's not like he's going to not do anything, and that would be pretty special.

Once again, you're talking about the layers of instruments in the music when I was just sitting there thinking "gosh music purty". I wish I had that level of awareness and understanding of the experience. Feels like there has been a part of the movie experience that I've just missed out on my whole life.
