Submit Movie Requests!

*** SUBMIT + UPVOTE REQUESTS HERE ***

Link above is site for Patrons to submit + upvote requests! You must link your Patreon account (in top right corner) to request or upvote.

** HOW IT WORKS:

For now, new requests are limited to  2 per month, 3 per month for Producer Tier. You can upvote as many as you like!

Requesting or upvoting a movie does not guarantee I will watch it, but it helps me to track all requests in one place + use as a resource when making my schedule + polls 😊

Movies already seen or on the channel will be marked off weekly + links added. If a choice you submit is marked as watched, your limit will reset for the month.

Request limits reset for everyone on 1st of the month. There is no limit on upvoting.

This is a work in progress so please bear with us + let us know if there are errors. Often, refreshing the page fixes errors.

**Tip! You can sort requests on far right side by 'Added' - 'Newer' and it will show what's been added most recently. So once you've gone through the list to upvote what you'd like to see, just check back now + then to see what's been newly added **

Thank you to Adam R for designing + building this awesome site!

**Please note: commenting movies below this post does not add them to the site!**

The Stupids Trust me.

Daniel Conderman

George Costanza actor from Seinfeld has a supporting role in Pretty Woman, he's a real scumbag in it though. Incidentally, the famous front cover poster for Pretty Woman with Gere and Julia Roberts standing back to back, she's holding his tie... I read years ago that was a body double and it's only Roberts' head superimposed. Idk if it's true or not.

Jason Scade

My girlfriend saw a video online about this movie’s upcoming 35th anniversary and insisted that we watch it last night. I’m glad she suggested Pretty Woman (1990) because we both really really enjoyed it.

Andy Thomas

Stay Tuned (1992) would be great. It's The Cabin in the Woods meets Pleasantville, and it predates both.

Lord Nobody

I thought that I'd added it a while back, it's a funny comedy and very relatable as an actor myself.

I'd also like to nominate Dave (1993), if I could.

Can I suggest Time After Time (1979)?

Since it’s summertime. How about “one crazy summer” starring John Cusack

shea Connerty

i added some movies at the end of June, but I didn't get July renewed. the computer must of thought my June 30th requests were for July

zynjams

No nothing gets deleted. I'll pass your notes to the developer. He's working on a way to sort to see what you've already requested

Jen M

Great, funny movie! And I *think* it's the first pairing of Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor as actors. Although Richard Pryor, I think, was a writer on "Blazing Saddles" (1974). The role of Bart was intended for Richard Pryor, but due to Pryor's controversial stand-up routines and struggles with drugs and alcohol, Mel Brooks couldn't secure financing for the project with Pryor in that role. So he was made a co-writer of the script, and Cleavon Little played Bart.

Miles E Coburn

Got a question for you about the site: Do upvotes / requests get deleted after a certain amount of time? I went in today and added "Her Alibi" (1989) (a rom-com starring Tom Selleck and Paulina Porizkova) and "Leviathan" (1989) (a sci-fi / horror movies starring Peter Weller and Amanda Pays). But while looking around I noticed some movies that I *know* I've upvoted no longer have the notation that I requested them. So I just re-upvoted them. Just wondering.

Miles E Coburn

I think it's just the default to how things are categorized by IMDB, as we pull the info from there. I have seen lots of older musicals tho

Jen M

how come no musical category on the request site, have you seen most of them already

Naturekitty5309

Please add it to the request site!

Jen M

Hi Jen, I would like to suggest “Who is Harry Crumb” staring John Candy and the tv series Centennial about the movement and settlement of Colorado, it is amazing with star rated actors and actresses.

Richard Lynn Lamb

Please check out Gene Wilder with Richard Pryor in "Silver Streak" (1979). You'd love it!

Prof. Writhms

Ok I will let the developer know, thanks for letting me know. In the meantime, what's your 2nd pick, I can add it

Jen M

Hey Jen, I added one movie a few days ago, then when I went to add my second for the month the site said I could not add any more this month. ????

It has been fixed and should be working now, thanks for letting me know!

Hey Jen, the site seems to be down. Every time I click on it I keep getting this page that says "This Serverless Function has timed out."

You gotta do Charade. Cary Grant, Audry Hepburn, George Kennedy, Walter Matthau, James Colburn. Score by Mancini, Mercer. Many people feel this is a Hitchcock movie. Very similar. Keeps you guessing right to the end. It is also one of the last movies Cary Grant did. Grant and Hepburn are lovely together.

Enemy Mine is on this week's poll. :) There's a good Trek Next Jen episode that's like Enemy Mine. There's another ep that's very similar to Die Hard, I'm looking forward to both.

Jason Scade

Hi, oh Jen has done that, I think in 2nd half of 2023. It got removed, apparently. 👎 :/ From Everything Everywhere All At Once to nowhere.

Jason Scade

Oh man, for some reason I thought Jen had already watched Everything Everywhere All At once. That's definitely on my list of things to add come May.

Idk Turbo Kid (gave it a vote). Swingers (1996) is class. What did you think of 'Made' (2001)? After a bunch of viewings, it became my fave of the two.

Jason Scade

Thank you, I added that to the list originally. It's currently at 66 votes.

Jason Scade

🏆🏆 Two first prize trophies for you, my ruthless committed friend. And Jimmy Rabbitte thanks ye also. 🍀

Hey Jen Loved the reaction to Under Siege. If you like it you should watch and react to the movie Battleship. It is a 2012 movie with Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch. Very cheesy alien battles takes place on the Mighty Moe (Missouri). Same ship in Under Siege. 👌👌

Michael McDaniel

I would love to see a reaction for bothe Stargate tv series at least Stargate SG 1 and Stargate Atlantis and also the Babylon 5 TV series if possible

I added Tag a few months ago. I went back to check on it recently and had to add it back to the list. It had been removed 🤷‍♂️

ShadowVessel π

I just added Hollywood Shuffle, in the same vein as "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"

Chris Biebel

i have noticed that you like the romance aspects of films but you don't have many in your list, i recommend you the before trilogy (i dont mean it for your channel), thats like a good photography of love in your 20s, 30s and 40s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Before_trilogy

Christian Gerardo Garcia

Always the truth with these sort of popularity contests. Thats why I'm a big fan of separating out newer movies and older movies when doing polls. New movies will pretty much always win, regardless of how many timeless classics they are up against. It's just psychology sorta, and demographics. But yeah. I've been sorta pleasantly surprised by a lot of the movies that have a lot of requests that are quite older or niche.

Astraeos

I just finished watching your reaction for 'The Batman', in that reaction you mentioned you like superhero movies so I would recommend 'Watchmen'. It's an interesting look at superheroes and it's directed by Zach Snyder. I will warn you, if/when you post it to Youtube people will probably shit all over it because "the graphic novel is better". People can't appreciate the movie for what it is.

MattTheHazard

"The Witch" (2015) for the Halloween season and "V for Vendetta" DC comics.

Kyndu

I’ll start the ball rolling with “Taken”

David

I think you should check out some Liam Neeson movies. He has been in quite a few great movies.

David

Hi Jen,

David

Hi Jen,

David

I added two movies; one is a blaxploitation parody film and the other is a horror film from the hood. I thought I’ll share some different flavors for your viewing adventures and my favorites movies too. Added to the request: "I'm gonna git you sucka" – 1988 Starring: Keenen Ivory, John Witherspoon, Isaac Hayes, Jim Brown, Damon Wayans, and Chris Rock “Tales from the Hood” – 1995 Starring: Corbin Bernsen, David Alan Grier, Anthony Griffith, Joe Torry, and Clarence Williams III

Antonio

Added to the request for Layer Cake (2004). It stars Daniel Craig in a performance that led to him being cast as James Bond, with Ben Wishaw (his Q) in a supporting part. The director is Matthew Vaughn, who was a producer on Guy Ritche's early movies Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch - watching your recent Sherlock reaction reminded me of their connection. Layer Cake is a solid British crime drama, with a great cast and an excellent soundtrack, executed in stylish fashion. It's a hidden gem from the early 00s that was bigger in Europe than North America.

Jesus F Christ

Requested the Japanese version of The Ring ("Ringu") from 1998. The American remake from 2002 is currently leading by four votes (ten against six), probably because more people have seen it. I recommend watching the Japanese original first.

Grad

Thank you to whoever added one of Eastwood's best, A Perfect World

mikethemotormouth

Haha I gave you a vote. It does suck how poorly overall comedies seem to do in the polls. Nice to get one in every now and then.

Dr Ozzy

Some movies you might want to consider grouping together when you watch them. For instance, while not actually necessary, watching Frankenstein and Bride of Frankenstein before watching Young Frankenstein gives some more context to some of the scenes. Also, you'll understand the jokes in Robin Hood: Men in Tights better if you watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves first, since it's the former is a direct spoof of the latter. You might also want to consider some that are more seasonal (scary for Halloween) or reference a specific date (Feb 2 for "Groundhog Day" or November 5 for "V for Vendetta", for instance).

Chris Biebel

Have you linked your Patreon account to the site? After you do, there will be a "Request Movies" button at the top which will take you to a window where you can search. I tried searching for "The King And I", and the 1956 movie was the first result listed. If the movie hasn't been requested, you can click "Add". If if it has been requested already, you can click "Request" to upvote it. If it's already been requested by you, you can click "Retract" to remove your vote.

Patrick Egan

4 votes for Princess Mononoke smh

mikethemotormouth

Harold and Maude has a total of 4 votes on the request site. Please go vote for this odd couple romance if you have not already.

mikethemotormouth

I love seeing all the new requests on the list! When you're going through to upvote stuff, don't forget the ones with only 1 or 2 current votes, you may find some forgotten gems in there deserving of attention :)

Patrick Egan

I was thinking the same thing about a few others...Sleepers, Ghost, The Outsiders...

mikethemotormouth

I was wondering that myself.

To Wa

Love and Death has 5 votes fwiw.

To Wa

So does the limit reset the first of the next month or 30 days after your last request or...?

mikethemotormouth

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow only has 2 votes!? C'mon people!

To Wa

I still have no idea how to request new titles out of the blue-- Let's say I want to suggest "The King & I" (1956), I'm still taken to a search engine where I can choose between Breaking Bad, the Peter Jackson "King Kong", or To Kill a Mockingbird...Um, NO.

Eric Janssen

Jen, I just signed up as a Patron. I don't have just a movie request, but this was a movie too. I'd rather have you watch the much-improved TV show for spooky season: Interview with a Vampire on AMC+ or HBO/Max. If no TV, then I'm gonna throw out a seldom-mentioned yet amazing film Harold and Maude.

Ron Salon

I forgot how Jen overall feels about horror, so I checked some older panicked YT thumbnails and now I remember 💀

Thomas Mc

Great and well designed website, very good approach to taking requests, but it’s really depressing how many of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life have only a handful of votes.

Razor Bikini

No you can upvote as many as you want, it's only the requesting of a title to be put on to the list where you get 2.

Mark McKeown

*Cracking knuckles* yup, one day of ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’ 😄

FranciscoGios

I like this idea (its beautiful). I used one vote (for Twister cause I love that movie more than I should). Not sure what to use second vote on

Thomas Mc

wow it works great!

Mannygogou

Clever solution! I felt bad for a few minutes when it closed down, submitting so many and maybe not voting as much. I just thought "Don't vote for the popular ones, that way my own requests have a better chance". But then again I think most people thought exactly the same thing - this is a great solution :-)

Erik Lundmark

Just added the TV show "UFO" from 1970-1971. Also added "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex But We're Afraid To Ask".

To Wa

Added "Boss Level" - an instant action classic and often overlooked gem. Also, anyone that wants to see Jen react to the 2012 James Bond Olympic special with QEII, make your voices known!

ArsTropica

The site looks really good! And it's a great idea to restrict the numbers. I could name dozens of movies I like off the top of my head, but if I'm restricted to two then I have to think hard about my choice.

Jon Anderson

I'm doing the same. I like older, more psychological horror, so I hope we get a few of those.

Jon Anderson

If you want to vote for Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, make sure to vote for Seven Samurai(1954) and not Seven Samurai(1954)(1954) which led me to an episode of some unnamed podcast Also might want to try combing through the bottom. Few too many picks I'd expect to see nearer the top or middle of the pile

mikethemotormouth

I submitted my requests (horror, of course). I also upvoted some horror films. I only upvoted non-slasher, non-stabby horror so hopefully you’ll have a better October than last year.

DrJonasVenture

Glad to see the request site back in service, limiting the number of requests seems like a good way to keep it from flooding. Kudos to Adam R for a very solid design & implementation. LOVE the inclusion of links to the Patron/Youtube vids for items already on the channel!

Patrick Egan

Nice! I added RRR to the list.

PapaXan

Awesome Jen I feel limiting 2 per month is very smart 👌 special mention to Adam for the great job 👍

Ian

Looks great! Awesome job! 90% of my requests are there gaining votes. Hopefully one of them will make it eventually! 🤓
