Last 2 episodes! ๐ I enjoyed both eps, and man Journey to Babel was a jam-packed story! Thanks for voting such great episodes for us to watch. I feel like I have a pretty good background now to proceed on to the movies and I'm really looking forward to them! ๐

You should consider watching these, even if just on your own, but if you can ever circle back, we would appreciate the reactions. I wonder if what you've been calling a "bass clarinet" might actually be a bassoon? Vulcan and Romulan blood is green, because it's based on copper rather than iron.

2023-06-14 21:52:11 +0000 UTCThe Tholian Web aired in late '68, before the public would have seen many Apollo space suits. I'd guess the silver suits were influenced mostly by the Mercury suits of the early 60's. The directors cuts of the first two movies would be preferred but practically speaking I think the theatrical cuts will be more widely available for streaming and that's a primary consideration for most reactors.

2023-06-12 18:30:02 +0000 UTCI'm sure I've commented this before, but as others have mentioned definitely watch the Director's Editions for both The Motion Picture (ideally the recent 2021 remaster) and The Wrath of Khan. The pacing of TMP is much better in the Director's Edition (the Theatrical release was unfinished), and there are some additional scenes for TWOK that add some useful context.

It changes absolutely nothing about the movie's story but merely adds some great bonus visual effects. Also you have been doing TOS episodes for a while now but none seem to have made it to YouTube yet?

He played the Romulan commander in S1E14, "Balance of Terror". :) Both Lenard and Jane Wyatt, who played Amanda, reprise their roles in "Star Trek V: The Voyage Home". Sarek also makes a couple of appearances in "Star Trek: The Next Generation".
