Die Another Day (2002) Full Length Reaction

Time to face destiny.

The last Brosnan! Cheesiness cranked to max, space lasers, ice castles, diamonds, sword fights, babe betrayals and SO MANY EXPLOSIONS!! I know this one won't be for everyone but I just had fun with it 😆 And I may have given the most controversial Worst Award yet 🤷‍♀️

I loved the late great Peter Sellers. His legendary and benchmark role was Inspector Clouseau in A Shot in the Dark, The Return of the Pink Panther, The Pink Panther Strikes Again and Revenge of the Pink Panther. HIs untimely death robbed us of any more. These movies featured epic slapstick comedy. Also his fable / drama Being There is incredible. Can't wait for Austin Powers. My favorite is the third one which is impressive as usually a series can run out of steam.

Yes, 3 Austin Powers, Casino Royale 1967 and Never Say Never Again before we move on to Craigs!

Jen M

So will you be watching the Austin Powers movies before you get to the Daniel Craig Bond movies?

Joe M

The 1967 Casino Royal is absolute Looney Toons level bonkers. Get ready for a wild ride

Andy Bodkin

Seriously looking forward to the Daniel Craig films. Definitely a more "realistic" and less fantastic Bond. It starts off with Casino Royale which is essentially his origin story so while it's a reboot of the franchise in a way, it doesn't ignore the past films. I grew up with Connery and Moore, but honestly, Daniel Craig's films are my favorites.

John

They intentionally had a lot of throw backs to previous Bond movies because this was the 20th movie.

I always enjoyed this one, but I also have always known that it has flaws. I just think for all that it does wrong, it does just as much right, which helps keep it enjoyable, just not great. This is the end of an era, the end of the Bond movies that everyone loves. The Daniel Craig movies are just good action/espionage and story telling, but not Bond.

Lots of fun (and laughs). 💜 "14 months without women. That must have been the real torture." 😂 Yes to First Blood with sis, please.

I hated the Pierce Brosnan era ..thought he was perfect but he was given poor material a diservice..having rewatched I think they are all solid in their own way..bizarrely I still dislike Goldeneye except for the tank chase. Daniel Craig for me is the most inconsistent in quality..not money expenditure his films are lavish..but they go amazing to stupid fast..and then mediocre. Its worse cuz they are to be taken seriously.

Alberto Blanco

This one is kinda over the top for me. BUT what I do think is awesome is the idea of using the title credits/song to continue the storytelling, itself serving as the time lapse between the opening scene and the main body of the movie. That was really cool. Agree with your assessment about the music too - it really stands out and doesn't feel very Bond-like, yet the lyrics do fit excellently! Such a mixed experience, and enjoyable if you focus on the good - which you usually do :)

I know we’re not finished yet, but 20 Bond movies is an awesome milestone, they’ve been so much fun watching alongside your reactions. Thank you for all of the epic quotes (from you)! First Blood is a thumbs up from me, I’d love to see Tara again, I hope she’s doing ok ❤️
