Don't be discouraged if you end up starting with 1. It's slooowww (but I've still watched it multiple times). The rest are much easier to watch (though 5 is not great - not boring, but not great).

It's not like she would be watching them all at the same time. I mean she's done 19 James Bond movies and it hasn't prevented her from releasing other content. Trust her, she has it in hand.

You’ve already seen the most important Star Trek movie ever. It’s called Galaxy Quest. I would recommend you start out with Wrath of Khan followed by ST3, ST4, maybe ST5 but then start watching some Next Generation episodes to change it up.

It is amusing that the poll option for skipping #1 is so far behind in the votes, but is easily the most vocal section of the comments. I hope she doesn't let that influence her decisions, and goes with the votes and silent majority. Of course, even having said that, I still wouldn't be butt hurt if #5 accidentally got missed or was sacrificed for convenience.

I recommend watching them all, regardless of everyone's opinion on which one is best and worst and "don't watch this." BUT... Star Trek II through IV are a trilogy, Star Trek VI is on par with Star Trek II, Star Trek V is the weakest movie, and Star Trek TMP earned the nickname The Slow Motion Picture.
