Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!! This is Star Trek/Network TV recycling. They took the original pilot, added the ship-board trial and made it a two-part episode. If memory serves (thank you Spock. I love that phrase), this was the only two-part episode Star Trek did. The rest are stand alone episodes. So it really doesn't matter what order you watch the rest in. Obligatory "The Mask of Zorro" shout out and request. I guarantee you, you'll love it!

In that video of 13 years ago, they got a distress call from 18 years before that. If Vena was born the same year they crashed landed, she'd be 18 when Pike and Spock met her.
