If you want a sub-genre of sci-fi, how about time travel? I noticed that you have seen some of the popular "modern" ones already, but here is a list (some not really sci-fi, but are time travel based): 12 Monkeys (personal favorite) 1995 The Time Machine (H. G. Wells. A Classic) 1960 Looper (One of the few "modern" (last 10 years or so) ones you haven't watched) 2012 Time Bandits (Not sci-fi, but a fun Terry Gilliam film (12 Monkeys is also Gilliam)) 1981 Hot Tub Time Machine (Comedy, definitely not sci-fi) 2010
