WoW! While Cloverfield, King Kong and The Mist are great choices, I’m both sad and disappointed that Colossal got the least amount of votes. In my opinion probably the best choice of the whole poll. I really hope somewhere down the line, you get to see this one Jen. It deserves a watch. One of my top ten favorites of that year (2017). It’s both a monster movie and kind of a love story as well. Anne Hathaway is awesome in it.

2023-01-26 21:18:09 +0000 UTCI’m hoping Pacific Rim gets a watch. Guillermo Del Toro is one of the best directors working today.

2023-01-26 17:07:55 +0000 UTCWow, this is the rare time my vote is actually winning. I won't say as to not provide any sway to the natural result. Go _________________________________ !!!!

2023-01-25 03:27:13 +0000 UTCGodzilla vs Kong blows away all those movies.

2023-01-24 07:07:59 +0000 UTCYay #2 Cloverfield!... I'd like you to see that one 😊

2023-01-23 21:28:16 +0000 UTCWell now I feel bad. Like someone already said, its not a bad movie, it just sticks out in this poll. Ignore us and enjoy the film :)

2023-01-23 19:41:45 +0000 UTCThere are no haters here, I wish people would stop throwing that label around simply when someone shares an opinion. Nobody here said they hated Monsters Inc.

2023-01-23 19:30:01 +0000 UTCHey, it's not your fault. You haven't seen any of these films. I just thought it would be better for a poll of animated films. It's a good flick. It just belongs in a different category.

2023-01-23 18:38:36 +0000 UTCNo worries, Jen. People will always find something to complain about. Besides, this clearly states it's a Monster movie poll, not a Horror movie poll. Monsters aren't unique to horror. She could have put Hotel Transylvania on the poll too!

2023-01-23 18:02:02 +0000 UTCYou don't have to apologize, Jen. You state it's a monster movie poll and Monsters is right in the title of Monsters,Inc. It is a little out of place with the others as well as Colossal, but you do you and we'll vote on what is offered. Some people just want to get bent out of shape about anything that isn't exactly what they want.

2023-01-23 17:52:41 +0000 UTCIgnore the haters, no disappointment here! It's a fun movie and it has monsters, so, it's a monster movie lol

2023-01-23 16:59:36 +0000 UTCUnfortunately I feel excatly the same. Monsters Inc is not a bad movie, but it really doesnt belong in this mix...

2023-01-23 15:19:39 +0000 UTCI mean...monster is right in the title. Its a movie about monsters. I think it is just fine being on this list.

2023-01-23 14:25:52 +0000 UTCI agree. Why is there a Pixar type movie on a list of monster films. And yes, it's even more disappointing that it's in the lead at this time.
OkieBoomer
2023-01-23 13:31:26 +0000 UTCYeah, I agree that "Monsters Inc.", doesn't really fit for this poll. But, for me "Pacific Rim", "King Kong", "The Mist", & "Godzilla" are the best films of the bunch here.

2023-01-23 12:13:54 +0000 UTCI'm disappointed that 'Monsters Inc.' is a part of the monster movie list, and even more disappointed that (at this point) it's winning. It should be on the "family happy Pixar" type list. Not monster movies. 🤦🏼♂️

2023-01-23 10:32:53 +0000 UTCFor anyone who hasn’t seen it, I highly recommend Dog Soldiers. It’s flown under the radar for a while but just got a nice new transfer and looks great.

2023-01-23 07:18:12 +0000 UTCColossal is very good but it's a very different film that doesn't really belong in this group. To say more would be too spoilery, not that it matters that much at this point.

2023-01-23 07:04:33 +0000 UTCKing Kong is amazing - I love it, haven't seen anyone react to it yet which pains me 🤣

2023-01-23 06:28:29 +0000 UTCAs far as Kong Movies go, I favor the King Kong 2005. I just liked how Kong looks in this better than Kong Skull island and the others. But really there's a lot of good choices up there.

2023-01-23 02:30:40 +0000 UTCsorry. these are all not very good monster movies. so Im going with the cartoon
zynjams
2023-01-23 01:46:03 +0000 UTCthe write in vote would be 1930s king kong
zynjams
2023-01-23 01:44:41 +0000 UTCThe 1976 Kong was a man in a gorilla suit,2005 Kong owes a lot of its success to Peter Jackson's name..1933 Kong for whatever reason remains indelible..just saying :)

2023-01-23 00:19:36 +0000 UTCJen, I voted for the 2014 Godzilla, because that movie kicked off the Warner Bros. "Monsterverse," the series that led up to "Kong: Skull Island,""Godzilla v. Kong," and "Godzilla: King of the Monsters." It's an ongoing series with a central theme running through it. Peter Jackson's"King Kong" was a technical masterpiece, but it was twice as long as it needed to be. (BTW, if you want to see a Godzilla movie that'll rattle your brain, try "Shin Godzilla." Yikes.) "Dog Soldiers" is very good.

2023-01-23 00:17:38 +0000 UTCHey! I LIKED that movie!

2023-01-23 00:09:46 +0000 UTCKong has that one scene ... 😈
ArsTropica
2023-01-22 23:25:09 +0000 UTCNo “RAMPAGE “ 🥲 and the best version of King Kong is the 1976 version but nobody watches because it features the twin towers which is a shame.

2023-01-22 23:00:50 +0000 UTCAw where's Sharktopus vs Pteracuda? 😜
