I don't care what they say in my James Bond trivia game. Live and Let Die had the first theme song by a group, Paul McCartney & Wings, even though the trivia game says it was Duran Duran, because at some point they changed the credits to read just "Paul McCartney", but I know it said "& Wings" originally. Anyhow... good movie! :D

2023-01-13 02:03:29 +0000 UTCDuran Duran's "A View to a Kill" is the only Bond song to hit #1 on Billboard's "Hot 100". Shame the song was wasted on that movie. "Nobody Does it Better" and "Live and Let Die" only got to #2. Some of the others got pretty close, too.

2023-01-12 23:14:14 +0000 UTCIt's such a good song it became one of McCartney's greatest hits โ it wasn't just a "movie song." He performed it at the Super Bowl, with plenty of fireworks. I saw the movie when it first came out, and the audience was electrified when they realized who was doing the theme song! I liked Nancy's song, too, and the ones by Shirley Bassey and Tina Turner. Both Shirley Bassey and Jane Seymour were awarded membership in the Order of the British Empire by the Queen . . . I THINK that "Nobody Does It Better" was the biggest hit, as a record, of any Bond songs.

My 1st favorite is โYou Only Live Twiceโ by Nancy Sinatra.
