Friday the 13th (1980) Full Length Reaction

You're doomed! You're all doomed!

Well... still not a fan of slashers lol. I don't think most people are that afraid of this one but I definitely was. Killer dudes (or ladies) with knives is not my jam. Hid my eyes a lot and screamed a couple times lol so fair warning on the audio!

Thanks for being here guys!

Friday the 13th (1980) Full Length Reaction

Comments

Slashers are my preferred horror, it's devils and possessions that freak me out

“She’s going to die in her underwear” LoL. Hilarious. If anything that’s what I’ll most remember from this reaction. You made it all the way, so I’ll give you major kudos for it. There’s a total of 10 from this series of movies. Followed by a spin-off (Freddy vs Jason) (2003) and a remake in 2009. I actually enjoyed the later sequels (6,7 and 8) more then the early films. You don’t have to watch any of the others in my opinion.

Oh man I didn't know that about the snake :(

Another film I couldn't remember if I'd seen or not. Now I'm not convinced I had, probably one of the sequels I caught on Television. However I had heard whom the killer was for the first film. A clue if I hadn't. When she's first on scene, the edge of her shirt collar is showing. Which is the same patterned shirt on the arm that came from under the bed. 👀 When she picked up the machete and you said "FINIALLY!" I had to laugh my ass off. Followed by that ridiculous beheading. These films are meant to be analysed so what ever man. 🤣 My biggest disappointment was the snake scene. I was a little confounded by how real the killing chop looked. So I looked it up, thinking it would be one of those situations when things don't turn out to be what they initially looked like. But apparently they actually killed a real snake. I'm absolutely not one for being retroactively morally outraged by things we can't change from decades ago when protections weren't in place. And I'm not a snake lover or hater. But I have to say I was a little heartbroken at reading that. If what I also read is true. The handler was reportedly devastated. As they apparently had no idea that was what was planned for the scene. That only saddened me more. I also read that scene wasn't in the script. Even if it wasn't preplanned. It left me feeling sadden and disappointed to learn that.
