*** SPOILERS BELOW ***

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!! ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰

Thank freaking goodness this was a happy ending!!! Well, bittersweet because Grogu + Mando are splitting up, but Grogu is safe + going off with LUKE!??! Didn't see that coming!!! Such a tender goodbye, it really tugged at my heartstrings.

I really liked this episode, and this whole season!! It's been really wonderful and this episode almost felt like a series finale to me. Will you guys be watching season 3?

Thank you guys so much for watching with me! ๐Ÿ˜Š

You didn't react the way I hoped you would, that was Luke.

I don't think the young reactors can really grasp what Luke's appearance meant to some of us old nerds. The last live-action Luke we saw was in ROTJ, and that was Luke as a Jedi Knight. We never got to see Mark Hamill as a Jedi Master. For decades, the only place Luke became a master was in the Expanded Universe (mainly books), and eventually Disney took that away by removing most of the Expanded Universe from official canon. Then 34 years after we last saw live action Luke, Disney released "The Last Jedi" and gave us a broken old man, well past his prime, bitter and basically just awful. But, three years later, almost four decades since ROTJ, "The Mandalorian" finally gave us old nerds what we thought we'd never see - for all intents and purposes, Mark Hamill as a Jedi Master kicking ass like the bad ass we knew he would be. From the moment his X-Wing first appeared, I started getting chills. Each little bit of info they gave us as he marched through the ship - the green light saber, the single glove, it all kept building up the emotions until the final reveal. I'm one of those old nerds that teared up during that sequence, and did again each time I watched along with various old nerd reactors.

Yes I'm very curious about S3!

The *only* person any of us would have been OK with taking Grogu from Mando was Luke Skywalker. Totally agree this would have been a great (though bittersweet as you say - I remember watching this on Christmas Day during lockdown and crying like a child) way to cap the whole story off. Let's see where s3 goes...
