2022-08-06 21:23:49 +0000 UTCDefinitely some great choices up there. My personal picks from each? 1) APOCALYPSE NOW, just an out-and-out bombastic war drama; Coppola at his best. Sorry, GODFATHER. 2) HOT FUZZ, my favorite out of Edgar’s Cornetto ice cream trilogy. So many great funny lines, a legitimately good mystery at its center and hilarious action scenes. 3) Bit of a tougher list, but I’d go for ROBOCOP. Smarter and funnier than it looks, it’s got great performances from Peter Weller, Miguel Ferrer and Kurtwood Smith. 4) I might just be alone in this, but WARGAMES is where it’s at. This is the movie that got Matthew Broderick the part of Ferris Bueller; though here he’s closer to Marty McFly. The NORAD War Room is one of the best sets ever!
