Let's figure out the most fun way to choose Patron Picks!
Make sure you guys add your movie choice on this page! by Aug 6!
Would you like Patron Picks to be made by:
One giant poll with multiple choices allowed (EXAMPLE LINK)
Tournament bracket with series of single choice polls (EXAMPLE LINK)
Wheel of chance tournament (EXAMPLE LINK)
Obviously there are pros + cons to each. All choices will be on Patreon + I may choose some to go to YouTube.
Please keep in mind not everyone votes for the same reasons. Some people vote for what they consider the "best" movie, some for what they personally like best, some for what they think I will enjoy most, some for what they think will help my channel grow, many reasons!

I was about to suggest that. Tournament to whittle suggestions down, the wheel of chance for the finalists.

2022-07-31 15:31:10 +0000 UTCThe Wheel of Chance is best as it counters the tendency of people only voting for the movies theyβve seen other reaction channels already react to. The wheel offers genuine random chance, which is more fun I think than the landslide victory of some mega blockbuster you would have reacted to anyway.

2022-07-30 17:00:54 +0000 UTCI would think a wheel would give the lesser known / less popular movies at least a chance. Just randomly put 12 movies in a wheel and go from there. If there are more movies, have more wheels. Those movies who don't "win" are recycled into other wheels.

2022-07-30 16:41:28 +0000 UTCYa sorry I'm not able to build a physical wheel. The wheel would have to be a tournament too, can't fit all entries on one wheel. I just enter all the titles and 1 pops up that I don't have control over so that's about as random as I could hope for digitally? π€·ββοΈ

2022-07-30 16:38:26 +0000 UTCI can see why the wheel would be popular, it brings back the days I used to watch Wheel of Fortune, which is really fun. I also like the tournament though, it just sounded fun. If the wheel wins, which it looks like it will lol, I'd say use a real wheel. In my experience digital versions of things like that are not quite as random as you may think it to be. Plus a real wheel would just be cool, though I guess it could be difficult to store.

2022-07-30 15:44:26 +0000 UTCTournament bracket makes more sense because if you'd follow the giant poll, you'd react to all the popular ones upfront and then decline in popularity. The bracket leaves fairly popular -but defeated by even more popular- movies for later on.
