The Fugitive (1993) Full Length Reaction

Comments

Us marshals is excellent, less popular opinion but I think it's the better of the two. Tommy lee's whole team is brought back and it focuses on them plus some nice additions. Snipes is great as always and pre iron man RDJ is fun.

Bubba Fett

Regarding Henry is an excellent movie that everyone should see, but it is too much of a downer for me to see twice. But yes I think Jen should give it a go.

I'm not trying to be "that guy" but I do have some first hand experience with this. They could have had another 15 minutes to the movie and show his case being overturned due to new evidence and the judge throwing out any additional charges if the State had been so unwise to bring them so as to avoid a law suit for wrongful conviction. Some states now have an automatic pay out for wrongful convictions in a death row case. It is even quite possible that he did not have to return to any kind of incarceration at all, the district judge could release him immediately to await retrial, especially if you have the hottest U.S. Marshall in the district vouching for you. If they had showed Kimble just walking away and the cops waving goodbye to him I would have had a problem with that.

Beau Mont

"Regarding Henry" is criminally underrated, in my opinion.

Miles E Coburn

I really enjoy the movie magic at the end, where we can all assume that he will be exonerated and set free, when in reality he'd just be sent back to prison for execution. As an added sting, he'd also face additional charges for the escape, theft of the ambulance, threatening a federal agent with a firearm, etc.

Dragamo

Tonights pick is this Ford favourite. Never gets old and is one of his best imo. Even if my personal favourite is Regarding Henry.

Indy 2 & 3 coming soon

Great movie. You may have realized this later on, but when Tommy Lee Jones and the other agents raided that house, they were looking for Copeland, the other escaped inmate from the train. The movie tries to trick you when the agents say "he shacked up with a woman", right after you see Kimble getting in a car with a woman. But what they were really referring to was where Copeland was. The movie has lots of little bluffs like this, it's kinda cool.

I have been waiting for this for a while and it didn't disappoint! While I love your love of Harrison Ford when are we going to see you finish the Indian Jones' films!! He's so good in both of those!

MattN

The Fugitive is definitely the winner but US Marshals is not only really fun but a really cool spin-off!

MattN

The Fugitive is certainly better but U.S. Marshals is still a good flick with a great cast. No Harrison but you still get Tommy Lee plus Wesley Snipes and a pre-Iron Man RDJr!

I concur, Dr. Crabtree

Another thriller/mystery neo-noir movie you might enjoy is "Frantic" (1988) where Harrison Ford plays Dr who's attending a medical conference overseas with his wife who mysteriously disappears and a frantic Harrison Ford is desperately looking for her.

Joe Lazarus

I think you'd enjoy Witness starring Harrison Ford from 1985. "When a young Amish boy is sole witness to a murder while visiting Philadelphia with his mother, police detective John Book tries to protect the boy until an attempt on Book's life forces him into hiding in Amish country." P.S. Before becoming an actor, Ford worked as a carpenter.

Tyler Gorash

I highly recommend the sequel, U.S. Marshals!

David Crabtree

There is a follow up to this film called U.S. Marshals. I don't think it is anywhere near as well regarded and it doesn't star Harrison though. Tommy reprises his role and the fugitive is played by Wesley Snipes. I'll have a think about other cat n mouse type films.
