Originally we decided that Onyx was gonna be part of Cherry's past, meaning that she probably never met Apatite. But I kinda like the idea of Apatite going around to hook up with other gems and having another fling she probably did things with from time to time (she had many partners back on Homeworld but I never got around to naming them so its a start)

Some people on Discord suggested that maybe there were some ruins that could have been refashioned into a secret pool hangout, so that's what this eventually turned into. I appreciate ideas on what secret parts of Homeworld were like lmao
