🗳️ Poll: Stallone Movie 💪🔥
Added 2022-06-02 19:57:35 +0000 UTCSo we know I love action movies! 💪🔥 I'd like to give some Stallone a try!
(I know Rocky isn't an action movie but felt like it needed to be on the poll anyway 😆)

So, so happy "First Blood" won the poll! The ending really shows Stallone has acting chops. Same with the first "Rocky" movie, but I always thought with each successive movie in both franchises the characters devolved into caricatures. Watch both!

2022-06-04 13:47:28 +0000 UTCSince you’ve seen enough Steven Spielberg films now to know that he’s a Master, he has an extensive filmography to choose from for a poll. Today one of the costars of one of his underrated gems passed away (Brad Johnson). So in honour of Mr Johnson’s passing, I’d like to suggest Always (1989) Richard Dreyfuss, Holly Hunter, Brad Johnson, John Goodman & Audrey Hepburn (her final performance). Love story.

2022-06-03 13:32:08 +0000 UTCAfter you watch the classics from all the action stars you should watch The Expendables. Stallone brings all the classic actors together in an action extravaganza with that franchise. Bruce, Stallone, Statham, Lundgren, Li, Schwarzenegger, Norris and many more

2022-06-03 04:54:10 +0000 UTCThat’s a hard question to answer, he’s got almost 70 movies to his credit. My personal favorites are Bananas, Sleeper, Love and Death,Annie Hall (which won 4 Oscars, including best picture), Stardust Memories, Deconstructing Harry, Midnight in Paris, and Blue Jasmine. I think that list is the order they came out in. The earlier ones are more just silly comedies but they had much more substance starting with Annie Hall. The further back you go the more dated they’ll probably seem, not to mention cultural references that likely won’t be understood by anyone who was not around at the time. Still, they’re worth a try. Be warned though, in case you didn’t know, Woody Allen is very controversial as there is reason to believe that he molested his step daughter, Dylan Farrow, in 1992 when she was seven. She is adamant that it happened and he is adamant that it didn’t. Still, there is no denying that Sylvester Stallone has a small part in Take the Money and Run. It’s his second film, but the first one he entirely wrote and directed, if memory serves.

2022-06-02 22:52:46 +0000 UTCHere’s an out of the box kind of idea. A very early Woody Allen movie called “Take the Money and Run” in which Stallone makes what I believe is his first appearance on screen. It’s a small non speaking part where he plays a young thug on the subway. The movie itself is a parody of a 40’s, 50’s style documentary about a high profile criminal, which used to get rerun on TV but have not been for a long time. But if Woody Allen is not your cup of tea I completely understand.

2022-06-02 21:24:46 +0000 UTCThe other film worth adding to this list is Copland which might be Stallone's best performance outside the Rocky franchise. Also has a genuinely all star cast.
