Sister Sunday Double Feature: Armageddon + Deep Impact β˜„οΈ (1998) Full Length Reactions

Sister Sunday Double Feature! πŸ₯°

Oceans Rise. Cities Fall. Hope survives.

My lovely sister Tara joined me for this double feature + I'm so excited! This was technically a rewatch BUT neither of us remembered much of the plots at ALL - we didn't know who lived or died or the endings of either movie-- we must have been too distracted in 1998 by our crushes on Ben Affleck + Elijah Wood lol πŸ˜†πŸ˜† We had a blast watching these - pun intended!! πŸ‘

Check out Tara's YouTube channel here

Let me know if you guys would like to see more reactions with Tara!! πŸ‘πŸ‘

⭐ Special thanks to Producers: MattN, Todd Preble, CBonius, Tyler Gorash, Ed Dunn, Incognito, John Walters, JT, + those who wish to remain uncredited :)

Please, more sister reactions with Jen and Tara. I second that 100%. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ ❀️❀️❀️

Oh that sounds like fun!! I'd love to do another double feature 😊

If you're into volcanoes (I mean who isn't?) then 1997 produced both 'Dante's Peak' and 'Volcano' with the latter being the sillier/'Armageddon' one of the two.

Alexis

Oh that would be cool! I'm glad you liked our duo, I would love to do more reactions with Tara 😊😊 Thanks for watching with us Daryl!

Jen M

Ya I was surprised how different the movies felt even though they have the same basic premise of an asteroid/comet coming towards Earth! I liked both but it seems everyone has their fav 😊😊

Jen M

As always, this was a lot of fun. If you guys wanted to follow up later with a modern satirical take on this particular type of disaster movie. Then perhaps β€’Don't Look Up might be fun, if neither of you have seen it. Regards to Tara, you two make a fantastic duo, very enjoyable.

Daryl

As I'm working later this week. Today was the best opportunity for this 4 and a half hour Battle of the cosmic objects, as they compete to test humanity's resilience in the face of cataclysmic annihilation. Comet New York vs Asteroid Texas! Earth's loud rugid disfunctionals vs A more quite bunch of academics with initially less regard for their elders than perhaps they should have. Forcing him to act more like their father or a Professor. Stories of families with burgeoning love, romance and Marriage. Nothing more romantic than... Let's get married so I can get you onto the team bunker that has to rebuild the earth. A deeply unrealistic last-ditch scrambled together plan vs A longer considered strategy to survive Doomsday. Crazy space mania vs Pleas to the Divine as both surrender to the cosmic chance of serendipity or catastrophe. I can never help but ask myself. "Who do you think placed the object on its path?" As you can probably tell by my quippy remarks, I preferred Armageddon of the two. But like you, acknowledge that neither is perfect.

Daryl

It's so fun! Enjoy!

That will be great! The Patriot is one of my favorite films, and the 4th of July is actually the perfect time to watch it! And Top Gun is great anytime! About to watch your double feature reaction, Armageddon is one of my favorite movies!

David Crabtree

I have The Patriot coming for 4th of July and Top Gun will be coming later in summer as well πŸ‘πŸ‘

Not sure if you're planning on anything specific for Memorial Day coming up, but I'd like to highly recommend 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. It's a brilliant film, and a spot-on adaptation of the true events from 10 years ago, that showcases the sacrifice and sheer determination of these brave Americans. I can't praise this movie enough. Other great choices for Memorial Day would be The Patriot, Behind Enemy Lines, Top Gun, American Sniper, and Pearl Harbor.

Ya that's my sweet sis! She's the best! πŸ€— I'd definitely like to see a Kurt Russell movie, never seen one πŸ‘πŸ‘

Jen M

Whoa!! THAT Tara is your sister?? I’ve watched her a few times and never knew that. Great to see y’all team up on these two 90s disaster films. While we’re at it I would like to recommend some films from my favorite actor of all time…Kurt Russell. If you haven’t already seen these I suggest them for the channel… Escape From New York The Thing Big Trouble In Little China Tango & Cash Tombstone Soldier Miracle
