A couple things about Lambs (you may know some of these things but I'll cover it all): Initially a book by Thomas Harris; he created the character and wrote several books. I'm not going to look it up, I think 4? Silence, then a prequel, Red Dragon, about catching Hannibal Lector (Will Graham was the one who caught him), then a prequel to the prequel, "Hannibal", that was about how he became Hannibal the Cannibal. I think another also. Not entirely sure. SO... there was a movie made several years prior to Lambs based on Red Dragon called "Manhunter". The dude from CSI played Will Graham... Brian Cox played Hannibal and was fucking great, honestly (you may not know the name Brian Cox but I'm sure you'd recognize him if you saw him). It was a good movie, honestly, it's worth watching but not so good that you *need* to watch it. Wasn't terribly successful though. Then, after Lambs was huge, they made another movie based on Red Dragon, simply called "Red Dragon" this time. Ed Norton played Will Graham, Phillip Seymour Hoffman played a sleazy tabloid journalist... a few other notable names that I can't remember. I'd say it was about on par with "Manhunter" honestly. Both are good, but not as iconic as Lambs, of course. AND THEN there's the tv show, "Hannibal". Mads Mikkelsen is *so damn good* as Hannibal; the dude who plays Will Graham is incredible too, easily better than the other two actors (in their defense, his material is better). Morphius plays Jack Campbell (is that his name?)... Lawrence Fishburne. It's definitely a show worth watching, it's interesting and the visuals are really carefully crafted, it's a really really well-written series. But it's not all that "fun", not the way I prefer most of my tv/movie choices, so... I want you to be aware of its existence, be aware that it's good (maybe check out a trailer for it?) in the same way you should be aware of the existence of "The Sarah Connor Chronicles", and if you want to watch either of them I'd be interested in your reaction, but it's not something I'm particularly invested in. Know that they're out there, make your own decision as to whether or not you want to watch them, I'm down either way.

Silence of the Lambs is a classic! Great film.

Firefly is just in a class by itself. I wish it would have had more than one season.
