2023-12-22 16:18:06 +0000 UTCJon Favreau had a great explanation about that: he said they didnt want to be inspired by star wars, they wanted to inspired by the westerns and samurai movie that inspired Lucas to make original star wars. Thats why it “feels” so much grittier and more “textures” Theres some great behind the scenes stuff on “Disney: Gallery” on D+ which goes into the making of this show thar is def worth your time after u finish s1

2022-03-19 14:52:56 +0000 UTCNow that you’ve seen the originals, prequels, rogue one, and Mando, it’s interesting to compare the “feel” of different forms if “Star Wars”. Of those four groups of movie/shows, prequels really stand out as the most…detached, I guess is the word I’d use. Over use of CG, mediocre directing, writing, and acting. Then you have Mandalorian which brings group breaking technology, but still uses practical costumes and props, and the direction is way tighter
