Added 2021-10-17 00:03:50 +0000 UTCThis was a rough one for me but I did like it. An emotional, dark and sombre movie. Keanu is as handsome as ever and fighting like he's got nothing to left to lose. If you've seen this movie already, you can probably guess which part broke me. If you haven't... you'll know soon enough and you'll see me completely break down.
I will probably watch the sequels to this movie because I'm curious where the story could possibly go after the way this movie concludes. Let me know if the sequels are worth a watch!

I always assumed that "in for a penny, in for a pound" meant that if you are a little bit in on a deal, then you are in the deal the whole way. Or something of that sort.

2022-11-30 19:53:42 +0000 UTCThere's a theory I like about the movie, explained at length by Mikey Neuman if that may be interesting. There are just a few clues that the movie happens in a world that isn't quite real - not that it's just making up its own world with the secret society of gangsters who are above the law and trade in gold coins, but more a magical place that could be John's hallucination or the realm of the old Greek gods, depending on how much unreality you're willing to accept. But it's another layer to the movie that I think is pretty interesting. You can take it as a story of John destroying Olympus, the underworld and the primordial titans. Which I think is a pretty reasonable price for hurting his dog.
