I don't take offense to criticism, so feel free to be open and honest. It makes the game better.

I don't really see myself clearly on either side. I do what I need to do for the particular story and scene I'm writing and I don't think too much about it. In MIST I was mainly improvising as I didn't have enough time to properly plot things out back then, but for my next game I took more care. I fleshed out the characters and plotpoints in advance while leaving everything else a bit vague so I have time to react and adapt to spontaneous needs and ideas. And obviously my new game isn't finished yet and we'll have see how that works out : D

I was wondering as a writer do you consider yourself a gardener (for example creating the story gradually without a clear ending right away) or a architect ( you meticulously plan everything from beginning to end )
