Episode 1 | Lessons learned #01
Added 2019-05-27 09:21:14 +0000 UTCThe first Episode is now out there and I heard what you guys had to say. In this post I will adress the feedback I got from everyone and then state my own observations.
Your Concerns:
- The Grind is too much.
- The sound is badly mixed.
- Stats of the girls.
Those are the main problems I filtered out. What am I gonna do about it?
1. To adress the grind, I will further tweak the numbers of the game. I now have a better grasp on what is tolerable and try to keep that in mind.
2. I will also branch out with the gameplay possibilities. Making grindig more self controlled and less clicker-esque. Hopefully removing the tag "grind".
3. I will pay more attention to the sounds and their volume. Although I personally think this isn't such a big problem as everyone can adjust themselves, I will keep a better consitency in leveling the volume.
4. I will include the option of viewing the girls stats, to make it less confusing where you are at.
My Concerns:
- Improving my art.
- More focused story.
1. I still don't feel completely happy with my art, I probably never will. But I will try to put more effort into everything and especially the scenes, where my poor camera work sometimes created angles that didn't really focus on the important parts.
I will obviously never stop trying to improve, so stick around. It will get better.
2. In the midst of writing the game and the mechanics I got a bit lost in the options and all the small things I had to keep in mind. So I lost track of the story for a bit. I want to change that and bring longer, more interesting story scenes. Also something that will probably help reduce the grind.
