A Question for Supporters About Weekly Videos

Hello, there isn't going to be a video this week and that happening finally gave me the incentive to make this video. Basically, I want to know what everyone here thinks about moving from a release schedule focused on weekly videos to one that favors more production time for them. I go over this a lot better in the video so I'll recommend you watch that to see why I think it may be a better idea based on the analytics of my channel over the last year. But before I make any changes I would like to hear feedback about the idea.

I also go over this in the video as well, but I think I need to retire the physical copy benefit. I have not been keeping up on it, which I need to apologize for, and I don't think I can reasonably say I can bring it back into my regular routine. So the most fair thing is just to not do it in the future. I will be going back through everyone who had been in that tier and did not receive one to get them made and sent out this month.

Here are some more thoughts I have about the concept for after you've seen the video. I'm still streaming on twitch (which I've actually cut back my time in that on for a better balance for videos) and I'm wondering if I should look into potentially hiring an editor to make some videos out of what I do there. I have zero clue what that costs so it may not be feasible, but it could be a source of videos similar to the "random" ones without me needing to dedicate time to them. I know streams are for everyone so this could be a better way for them to see what's happening over there.

Another way of looking at the view counts for different videos types, the "random" videos only made up ~13% of all views on the channel. If I make even 1/4 as many "fun" or "researched" videos as I do "random" ones it would be the same number of views, and I have a feeling it would work out to be more videos than that for sure. Views aren't the be all end all of success for the channel, but they have pretty correlation with the other stats to get an broader idea.

Lastly, if I do try the quality over quantity approach, I suspect I myself will be the one with the biggest problem with "missing" video releases on weeks there isn't one ready. I don't like failing to meet my targets like this and I would still be *trying* to get a video done every week, just with the option of not making one if something goes wrong.
