October Drawing Challenge 2023 - Day 12 Bugbear

Although bugbears are intended to be slightly hairier goblins, I drew a literal bear-person. A woman bear fighter with iron armor and sword.  She is supposed to be snarling at the viewer but something went wonky about her face and I couldn't quite fix it.

October Drawing Challenge 2023 - Day 10 Basilisk

A freshly hatched basilisk looks around, teary-eyed, surrounded by stone chickens.

Classically speaking, a basilisk is a cross between a rooster and a serpent, formed when a serpent's egg is hatched beneath a cockerel (or chicken).  All while researching for this drawing, I thought about how it would be kinda messed up for the newborn basilisk to look around and turn its family to stone, not knowing how or why.

October Drawing Challenge 2023 - Day 8 Roper

So it went like this.

Me: "Oh dear partner of mine, please help.  I did not know what a Roper was, so I looked it up on image search with safe search off and now all I can think of to draw this monster is suggestive at best."

Partner: "Just draw it suggestive, who cares?"

Me: "How entirely unhelpful. I will ask my friends instead. Friends!  How do I draw this thing not-horny?"

Friends: "EMBRACE THE HORNY!"

And then I drew the Roper.

A Roper is a living stalagmite with tentacles.  In this image, the roper is drawing in a purple-haired elf girl by her throat and wrists.  The elf is wearing a gossamer bikini and leather boots and gloves.  Her expression does not match one who is afraid for her life, but more such as someone who might be enjoying the experience.  The roper is smirking, and wiggling one of his appendages suggestively.

Death of Rats- Halloween Special

This was an impromptu sketch for one of my Patrons.  It is of the Death of Rats from Discworld, carrying a jack-o-lantern bucket with a chunk of cheese inside.

As a disclaimer, rats shouldn't actually eat cheese, please do not give your rats cheese.

Toasty (Warm-Up Sketch)

I've used this dragon toasting a marshmallow using his own breath as a warmup sketch since 2017.  You may see this, or a similar sketch in my art history.  This particular iteration has 'donkey ears'.

As a disclaimer, please check for harmful ingredients in any marshmallows before giving them to your dragon.

Cookie! (Warm-up Sketch)

I've used this cat in a cookie jar as a warm up sketch since 2016. You may see this cat, or a similar cat, more than once in my art history. As a disclaimer, please do not feed your cat chocolate chip cookies.  They are not good for kitties.

Dory's Party

Art by Cap'n Kyrie featuring a new fox OC named Dory.  She is dressed in a ballgown that is purple with a teal sheen.  She is somewhat lazily holding her weapon of choice, a spear with an opalescent head.

She was supposed to appear slightly more muscular, but some of the details got lost.  Fun fact- "dory" is the Greek word meaning "spear".

Every attempt to add detail to the eyes winds up making this one look goofy, instead of ethereal.  Leaving this one as is, despite not being satisfied with it.

Meeting of the Wizards

Let's Get Spooky

BlueBlood

Hex (Commission)

A request from a friend of mine, shared by me only on Patreon.  A reference sheet of said friend's original character/fursona. It is an orange raccoon with dark green markings, glasses, and a saddlebag.  The art was done by myself and the character was conceived by Hexafur- please do not use the character without Hexafur's permission.

Dreams of Sky
