1980 Terminal with Linux - TeleVideo 950
Added 2023-05-10 16:11:45 +0000 UTCHello! Now that I've got my capacitor reforming setup dialed in I want to start getting some of the much older hardware I've picked up running again! I want to start on the S-100 computers first to see what I'm in for, but first I figured I'd get one of the terminals done to sample what condition they might be in. I'm pretty happy with the results overall!
But I figured while I was working on it I would revisit the idea of using a proper vintage terminal on Linux which is not very straight forward. So I detailed how you can get it connected and working as well as what some of the, many, short comings are. Overall it's a lot of fun, but not the most practical thing.
