Data General Minicomputers: The First Step

The Data Generals are in the office and it's time to take the first step to get working on them!

I had a lot of ways I wanted to approach making this video but it has been really overwhelming with how much interest there has been on these. So I decided not to explain everything I'm thinking about with it as much and decided to set myself some objectives to accomplish instead. Making it a lower pressure video make it a lot easier on me as it has been built up in my head too much.

The audio may not be quite right on this render. I'm going to take another look at it in the morning.

I tweaked the audio for the whole video and also added some music to the timelapse sections. There isn't much else different for this one beside that. Tomorrow it will go private so I can schedule it (blame youtube, it's not possible to schedule unlisted videos for release specifically to make patreon users lives hard) but you can watch the first version instead as it it basically identical. If you want a comment on there long term though you may want to wait for the final release.

I'm scheduling this one because I'm going to be trying to make some minor corrections with how I produce/publish videos to try and better align with Youtube. According to the background stats I usually ignore, it would be a disastrously bad idea to release the video right now because most of my viewers won't be watching until thursday. And waiting until 11AM friday would be ideal. So I'm going to queue it up to automatically release then to see if that improves things. The Byte video had miserable views for what I genuinely feel was a well made video that covered an interesting topic. But I didn't plan when to release it and did it at a very bad time. This video should have above average interest inherently so I want to give it its best shot even though it will delay it more than I would like.
