New Tier? Hardcopy Supporters
Added 2020-07-18 14:48:24 +0000 UTCI think I mentioned this ins one of my behind the scenes videos that I'm been considering this idea and I keep forgetting to record a sample before the end of the month so I can ask what everyone thinks of the idea.
For this I would add an alternative $5 tier that would be opt in to be put on a list of names that I would once a month add to a file that I would print on a printer from my collection. I'll rotate out different printers different months so there is some variety. I'll record the printing like this and include it at the end of every video for that month during the 20 second outro.
While the list is small enough I'll leave it printing at normal speed but if the printer can't print the whole list in 20 seconds I'll be speeding up the video so everyone is shown.
This was just shot with my phone and directly uploaded so the quality would be a little bit better for the final videos. I just wanted to get an idea of what people think about this.

2020-07-19 04:29:03 +0000 UTCThat's why I would probably make it only for people in the $5 tier, that would reduce it down a little bit. And if I really have to I may limit it. If it becomes really popular I may limit it down to what can be fit on a single sheet. I think impact printers are around 130 characters per line and 60 lines so I might cap it at 180 or 240 names depending on whether or not 30 characters per name would be enough. But still some printers are going to be slow, so I would print the header at normal speed and then fast forward through the printing of the names. That way I know it would all fit in the 20 seconds.
