Zuko may be my favorite character, but Iroh is the best character of the whole show.

It feels like she's fought so long against the idea of needing other people's help that she's deemed it a character flaw, not just in herself but in others as well. And you can't blame her, she's lived a very sheltered and lonely life with no examples of true community, it's such a new thing for her. It makes Iroh's "I poured your tea for you simply because I wanted to" moment feel like such a game-changer. And as for Iroh, I love that he is wise and humble enough to recognize that this child he just met also said what he needed to hear. We don't really know (perhaps we never will?) how long it's been since he's had someone that he can lean or rely on. This entire show we've only seen him as the one giving all the support. Had something else to say, totally got distracted by work and forgot what it was lol
