So sorry guys, I completely forgot to post this yesterday.. :(

So I have made many incorrect guesses at characters that will be returning, but SURELY Gwen will??

Great time for a proper solid side-quest, but looking forward to seeing how this season evolves!

Hope you guys are having a great week!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

Veggie, the point about the heart beating is that the heart is traditionally seen as the source of emotion and true feeling. Of course we know vampires can feel, but the show takes a lot of liberties with reality for the sake of the mystical (they say vampires don't breath, for example, while the actors are clearly huffing and puffing, Spike is smoking, etc.). So the point of getting the sudden heart jolt (not permanent) was that the resulting rush of strong emotion and feeling overwhelmed Angel in that moment and made him feel the need be intimate with her. As for the Buffy/Spike issue, it's good that you are trying to see past it for the sake of enjoying the show. I'm not saying that you should necessarily abandon your feeling, because a lot of people are going to be in the same mental place that you are and agree with you. But I think it's worth taking the time to consider why you feel that way towards Spike and not towards Angel, and what it might take for Spike to earn some level of forgiveness from you like Angel has.

@Zoo You must feel pretty gross watching Angel then, right? Because nearly every episode, almost the entire series, is about making you feel sorry for Angel and Angel trying to earn redemption and forgiveness. You must have been on Holtz's side; Angel certainly shouldn't be raising a baby. Do you think the right thing to do is to just simply dust him?

Veggie, even when I disagree with you completely (as I do about Lilah for example) I appreciate that you're honest and have your own opinion. If I don't vibe at all with a reactor I simply move on, but honest reactions are why I'm watching them in the first place. As another example, I find it refreshing that you had more sympathy towards Justine than most. We don't all have to agree about everything. As for the Spike and Angel thing, they were both rapists and murderers and I don't ship either with Buffy. I agree it's gross to try to make viewers feel sorry for a character like they did with Spike. It was also a betrayal towards Buffy, imo.

Zoo

Veggie! Please don't stop giving us your honest takes or pretend to embrace something you don't or whatever you were implying at the end. I finally replied to your Buffy 7x2 reaction btw, and I addressed the Xander scene from 6x22 as well. It took me forever to finish writing it and I posted it like 2 whole weeks later so idk if you ended up seeing it or not. But just to be clear, I DID NOT mean to imply that you should employ some sort of false lens or ignore your own opinions about these things.
