SPOILER ALERT! - If you have not watched the show before, don't read the following review until you have! :)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My goodness, Katara is awesome in this one!!

I really like Haru! Seems like an awesome character, and really is the focus of this one! I THOUGHT I recognised his father's voice! XD

Love seeing more about the personality of the Earth Kingdom! I must admit I find them fasinating!

So glad I now know why everyone was making a deal about me saying the lettuce pun! XD

Hope you had a great week, guys!!

Sorry for dredging up a 2 month old comments section, but one thing I don't particularly see suggested that I've seen other creators do with longer content... Just edit it less for Patreon? If it were me, I'd be worried by intros were too rambling and such, but we're here for the full reaction after all, and we have access to skip ahead if we want to. Personally, I'd rather see the 2-parters together, but not if it makes more stressful and therefore less enjoyable for the reactor making the content, ya know?

I'd agree with what seems to be the general consensus that you should at least watch the finales of all 3 seasons/ books (and potentially the other two parters) back to back to remain imersed in the stories they tell. But I think it is then up to you wheter you try to edit up and bring out all parts as one video or if you upload them in seperate videos one week after another/ with a few days in between.🙂

Hey Veggie! I think you should watch each book finale as single multipart episodes. I don't think S1E7 and S1E8 need to be watched back to back. For any other multi-part episodes we can discuss when we get closer. Character themed episodes are not exactly rare in this show...you can look forward to more.

I would recommend watching the season 1 finale episodes 19 and 20 together, even if you edit and post them separately, since they really flow into each other. But if editing and posting them separately helps your schedule, you totally should. For episodes 7 and 8 I don't think it is that important to watch them together because they each feel fairly complete on their own.

Hey Veggie, glad to see that despite your dyslexia you are doing your best to remember all the names of new characters. So proud of a new fan remembering the main group names, especially if you're watching these episodes spaced out like you have. Looking forward to more. As for the post schedule, I'm a struggling college student and I just hope I can afford your Patreon until you finish this series. Take care, my dudes.

I’m fine with you doing 1 episode a week and doing the two parters together, I like the 1 a week. Do you know if you’re going to do the comics as well? They continue where the series. I only ask cus you’ve been reading HP after your movie reactions. There’s novels too but I believe they take place prior to Aang being born, I don’t remember who else has a novel focused on them but I have heard the Avatar Kyoshi ones are really good

Sarah

Really liked your reaction. Personally I would prefer to wait a little longer for the two parters 😊

Speaking the truth right here ^

I love how excited you are about this show ❤️ And you still have so much to look forward to ❤️ Most episodes are fine to do one by one, but my personal recommendation is to do all three seasons finales in a shared reaction and then there are two more two-parters in season 3 that really do go extremely well together as well ❤️

What’s the scedule for ATLA just so I can lookforward to certain days

Some people have episodes they like to pair, but there really are some episodes that literally are meant to be watched together. The titles pretty much indicate those sorts of episodes because it’ll actually say [Title] pt. 1 & [Title] pt. 2. Episodes 7 & 8 are like that.

The fathers voice reminds me of Lee from the Telltale games (also Bluebeard in The Wolf Among Us, highly recommend that game)

I think it's fine to watch one episode at a time! I recognize Tyro's voice actor from a lot of things, with Baldur's Gate being the earliest example that I heard him in.

Madikuma95

I'm continuing to enjoy how much you're liking this show! So excited for the rest and Katara is my favourite 🥰

Rey's Got Plans

Just before I carry on watching, I think I'd prefer them weekly and not together apart from the finale, that way we can get your full througjts on each part. If you add the discussion parts it'll be so so long and part by part is probably best in your circumstances. But either way I'll be happy Veggie no pressure 😌

Rey's Got Plans

Sorry, for the comment spamming. I had a lot of thoughts...

I know, it's a bit late for this show. But most creators have the fully unedited reactions on their patreons a couple weeks (at least) ahead. That way, if something comes up like life, or more time consuming editing, or whatever, they have a backlog to fall behind (is that an expression in english? Can't think how to say it differently, so hopefully you understand what I mean...) So yeah, I personally wouldn't interupt the weekly uploads on YT for book 1 at least, but maybe it might make sense to halt the reaction there for a couple of weeks once book 1 is done, while still uploading the unedited versions on patreon. That way you can work up a bit of a buffer for yourself, and have another incentive for people to join your patreon 😉

I love this episode, because for one Katara is a badass, and Sokka really gets to show how smart and strategic he really is. But I mostly love it for depicting the very real reality of people who were oppressed and scarred for years. I obviously don't condone his actions, but I cannot fault the old man for snitching. The sad reality is, that he very probably got a reward for it - most likely being left alone for a bit or having the pressure on his family lifted for some time. You could even see the fear in Haru: he WANTED to help the old man, and knew he could, but without Katara he wouldn't have bent earth and let the old man die! That is the harsh reality of occupied land by a tyrannical force... Same with the imprisoned benders. I do not fault them for not having the will to fight anymore. They were deeply broken! I love though, that "all it took" was for Haru to be in danger for his father to step in and wreck the soldiers. And obviously, once the spiritual leader - as he was very clearly shown to be, Taru was respected by all the prisoners. And it is even implied that he was respected by some soldiers - steps in, all other follow.

Are you kidding me? When you said "green is one of my favourite colours" my inner monologue went "oh fun, me too, and purple" before you finished your colour thought. That is just crazy. Not even kidding, purple and green ARE my favourite colours!

PumpkinSparks

Still have to study statistics but this is my priority

Regarding 2 parters, im personally loving getting an episode weekly. Its becoming part of my sunday routine. I was literally waiting for the upload lol

Alex

7 and 8 do go well together, its not the end of the world not to do them together though, the last 2 episodes of this season are definitely better watching them together because the story is just continuing and not resolved at all, whereas 7 and 8 could feel like seperate epsidoes with the main story of 7 concluded in that episode but some of the story continuing.
