This was VERY different than I expected, and I definitely didn't cope well with some parts, but... I absolutely loved it!! The world is incredible and I love the characters!
I can't wait to see where the series goes!!
As always, you will need your own copy of the movie to sync too, but I provide pop-ups every 10 minutes (as well as when the movie actually starts) to make this easy!
There is a break around 1 hour in, and a give a fairly short notice for it, sorry The exact time on my player was 1:00:31, BUT if you pause at the right time, leave it where it is and you will be grand! :)

In the end, Cato wasn't a brutal trained killer or a Victor-in-the-making. He was a scared teenager who just realized he was put in a kill or be killed his entire life, and he'd never win. Even if he became a Victor, he was still a slave to the Capitol's whims. He realized that when the Capitol attacked him with mutts out of the blue, even though he'd been playing the Games the way he was supposed to. It wasn't another tribute, it was a Capitol invention that might take him out. (He probably had no idea that Katniss had already been attacked by the Capitol with the forest fire fiasco.) He would have killed Peeta, but that was because he was willing to revert to training, even though he stared death in the face. Cato was just a boy. 18 and scared. And if someone didn't see that at the end for Cato, they weren't paying attention to the underlying story Peeta and Katniss were discussing at various times (being owned/ changed, etc.)

If Seneca Crane (the game maker with the crazy beard) didn't poison himself, he would die worse. He had a choice (the same choice Katniss and Peeta were about to make and were stopped from). Kill yourself, or we'll do it to you. The Capitol is not above harming people in secret and putting it down to a crazy accident. Or threatening/ harming loved ones to control people, including their 'beloved' Victors. This series is brutal but well worth the watch/ read. Trust us. You will end the series satisfied, even if a bit heart broken. It really makes you think, this came out in the early 2000s, but look at the way certain countries are today. Makes you think . . .
