####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######
------
SO much tension in this one! It was a differently paced episode, but ideal for something like this before the big finale!!
Bloomin' Ben.. I don't know what he is up to. I do hope he is playing the long game, but if not... D:
Really liked the stuff inside Buffy's mind! Sorry to waffle on about Final Fantasy 7, but it did remind me a bit of a part of that. XD
Frickin' lizard dude!! I need to stop saying I like people. XD
Really cool how we are starting to see Glory with morale emotions! Will it be her undoing? O:
I mention it in the end of the video, but the next episode will be a couple of days late, sorry! I need to focus on getting the Book Review out! But I'll get you the finale ASAP!!
Hope you guys are having a great week!
As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to download it first. This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

That's a really good point. I wouldn't want either of them to die, but my first instinct would have been to prefere Ben dying over Dawn dying. But rationally speaking that does not make any sense. So I'm clearly heavily influenced by the fact that I care more about Dawn than I care about Ben. Which is something I suppose I've kind of known emotionally...but which I hadn't processed process locicaly until you pointed it out🤔🙈

2024-09-30 09:41:43 +0000 UTCI'm watching this for the first time and I actually thought it was pretty obvious that Dawn didn't remember and wasn't just telling them. But since no one else was mentioning it, I thought I wouldn't either xD

2024-09-30 09:36:13 +0000 UTCAs someone watching for the first time I was actually kinda proud that I figured out Ben was starting to subconciously control Glory as soon as she though it was ood that she didn't want to kill her minions xD On another note: I really hope the implication at the end of the episode is that the character are also supposed to have instantly forgotten Glory's backstory and how to potentially (if we believe the leader of the knights) kill her by killing Ben as soon as they've heard it. Otherwise I don't understand why Buffy wouldn't tell Giles that the knight guy already told her the entire backstory. That or the creators think we are to dumb to remember it from one episode to the next, which would actually really insult me...so fingers crossed for next episode, I guess😅 Also I have another prediction so if you don't want to be influenced by my ideas DON'T read further Veggie: I think lizard guy knew they might come and either gave them fake scrolls or conveniently removed the one that would tell them, that Glory could be killed by killing Ben. My basis for this is 1. He survived the sword attack wich leads me to believe he might have intentionally let himsel "be killed" so the characters wouldn't doubt the realness/ worth of the scrolls he was trying to burn. 2. It is really convenient that he happened to have all the imformation they "needed" right at hand in a handy little chest on his desk. And that he'd put the entire chest into the fire instead of empting the scrolls into the fire (so it wouldnt catch fire fast enough to be destroyed before someone could take it out of the fire again).

2024-09-30 05:07:58 +0000 UTCAnd now you understand why Dawn didn't tell them about Ben! I'm proud of us patrons for not spoiling it for you XD

2024-09-28 20:09:20 +0000 UTCVeggie, you DON'T want to miss the 'Previously on...' for 5x22. It's the show's 100th episode.

2024-09-28 13:38:26 +0000 UTCYou absolutely need to see Cabaret if you haven't already. Joel Grey (lizard demon guy 'Doc') plays a brilliantly creepy role in that film.

2024-09-28 07:20:15 +0000 UTCWith Hank being "back", one has to wonder. Maybe his character is off marrying a child (sorry, Little House on the Prairie reference) or the monks didn't put memories of Dawn in his head. He could be trying to figure out where in the world this child came from and deeply hurt. (Or, Joss makes almost all male characters in a-holes.)

2024-09-28 02:12:42 +0000 UTCThe mindscape of the Summers home wasn't Sunnydale, it would have been LA. Buffy didn't move to Sunnydale until after Joyce and Hankbwere Divorced, and Dawn was 10.

2024-09-28 01:48:18 +0000 UTCWhy are you okay with killing Ben, when Dawn isn’t real and a danger to everyone. Even if they defeated Glory and Dawn survived she’d still be the key and there’s nothing to say other demons or something else wouldn’t want to use her to open the portal. How many demons have tried something similar, even Angelus tried that with Acathla when Buffy had to kill him. Plus for all we know the monks could have put a time limit on her being human, they had to assume the slayer would figure it out at some point, she could turn back into energy if Glory’s defeated or she could be a teenage girl forever, cause she didn’t grow up so who knows if she’d even age.

2024-09-28 00:37:25 +0000 UTCShe wasn’t sent as a human newborn, she was sent into a human newborn, that being Ben, in the assumption that when he dies she will too.

2024-09-27 19:30:00 +0000 UTCThe Willow/Anya relationship has always been a bit rocky but in the later part of this season things have mellowed out. And so it was nice to see Willow leaving Tara in Anya's charge and for the later to wish the former 'good luck' twice...the first in typical Anya style and the second which was more heartfelt.

2024-09-27 19:16:51 +0000 UTCIt was revealed in the previous episode that Glory was banned from the hell dimension she came from and sent to earth as a human newborn. We find out in this episode that it was 25 years ago.
