Movie Watcher Reads Harry Potter For the First Time! - Goblet of Fire Chapters 26 & 27!

Hi guys! Here is the next part of the Goblet of Fire Book Review, and we yet again have some cracking chapters!!

I.... LOVE the misunderstanding between the Merpeople and Harry! I actually feel really bad for them! They were probably having such a lovely day until Harry starts swinging his wand! XD

Black's stuff here is SO good. I think this may be my favourite scene of his so far! The context of Crouch really add so much to his character, and the further mystery.

As always, we have some amazing discussions in the Book Club! Weirdly, I get through it pretty fast, so I hope I didn't miss anyone (I know already I missed someone that DM'd me, so we will be starting the next episode with their comment ((SO SORRY, IF YOU ARE READING THIS))). As we have a bit of time at the end, I open another of Dara's amazing boxes! Some incredible stuff inside!

Thank you all so much for being a part of these videos, guys! I look forward to reading your comments on the next chapters! :)

There's really no indication that all of wizarding society has a great relationship with merpeople and knows they're perfectly harmless. There's a lot of things that suggest otherwise in this chapter, like Fleur and Percy being terrified for their siblings, and the fact that the whole school sees this task as frightening and takes Ron's stories seriously! The only real information we get here is that Dumbledore gets along with these particular merpeople. We don't know anything about the civilization as a whole and their overall relationship with wizards and magic. We know that wizards have pretty ignorant attitudes towards a lot of different magical species. We've also seen other species like centaurs and giants who have their own societal rules and can be quite dangerous to humans as a result, while also being capable of having friendly/romantic relationships with humans. It seems that everyone takes the hostage thing very literally aside from Dumbledore, who is the one with the personal relationship.

Very excited to hear you’re going to do the hunger games movies! I do think you should read the books after, the same way you did movies first for HP so when you do see the stuff that was changed/cut for the movies you’ll still have an appreciation for them. There aren’t as many and they aren’t as long as the HP books so that’s good too!
