Things definitely escalate this week! 0_0
The bloomin' council are back! And incredibly, it looks like they are... kinda... back on our side again? In like.. a really pathetic way? XD
That scene with Glory was intense! I have always kinda assumed that if she SAW Dawn, she would know! Thanks goodness that isn't the case!
Loved the interview scenes. XD Scooby gang screwing up in the way only they can! XD
LOVED the last scene with Buffy calling the council out on their BS! It will be very interesting to see where it go next!
Hope you guys are having a great weekend!
As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to download it first. This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen this episode, and watching this video was the first time I caught that Spike refers to Riley as "your boyfriend what's-his-height"! So silly, Spike, lol.

2024-07-26 19:13:01 +0000 UTCAmerican here who has visited the UK several times! I love your beautiful country, your culture, and a lot of your food -- but blood or black pudding is something I have not been able to acquire a taste for, sadly. I think it's just not a flavor or concept Americans have been brought up on and... it just sounds gross, lol (although I agree that it's somewhat hypocritical of meat-eaters to discriminate in that way). Sausage and mash, however, sooo delicious! Oh, and yes, Vikings were in North America a few hundred years before the Spanish or British, although they were more in Greenland and eastern Canada than in what ended up becoming US territory. Thanks as always for your fun reactions!

2024-07-22 14:27:03 +0000 UTCYeah, that last scene is one of my all-time favourite Buffy scenes. Buffy just laying it all out with a sword throw and everything. And Giles, about to receive a very hefty sum of money, I'm assuming (though it's still very unfair that the Slayers don't get paid a thing).

2024-07-22 13:50:18 +0000 UTCVeggie, I think you might have missed something important that the one knight said. They aren't on "our" side. They're mission is to destroy the Key, which means they will kill the slayer if they can because she protects the Key. At one point, when Buffy asks who they are, he says, "The Knights of Byzantium. An ancient order. And now, your enemy." and of the Key, he said, "We'll never stop until we destroy it, and you." I know I'm in the minority big time here, but I love the Knights of Byzantium. They're unique, and I like the look of them, their mannerisms, everything about them. Also, weird thing to notice, I know, but the knight Buffy let go was really hot. LOL I agree, that ending speech is wonderful. It's become a massively iconic moment in the Buffyverse. This is a favorite episode of mine, one of many, and your reaction did not disappoint. Glad to see you're liking season five so much, Veggie.

2024-07-21 23:29:08 +0000 UTCOh, NO! I didn't even hear about that! There's another piece of my childhood gone, watching reruns of The Bob Newhart Show on Nickleodeon. Thank you for letting us all know.

2024-07-21 21:16:26 +0000 UTCDick Van Dyke, that's the name you were trying to think of from Mary Poppins. He's still alive and kickin' at nearly 100 years old! He and Bob Newhart, man, trying to give the late, great Betty White a run for the long life award. Yes, "miraculous love" was the phrase. ๐ The second demon helping Glory who made his appearance, he is my favorite of Glory's minions.

2024-07-21 21:10:17 +0000 UTCThere are a couple of lines in this episode, which were cut due to length, which I'd wish they'd left in.... Willow had some more rhyming fun ('A doodle, I do doodle...'): "I didn't create the troll. I didn't date the troll. In fact, I hate the troll. I helped deflate the troll." Obviously refering to Olaf from the previous episode. and Anya's false story was a little longer: "And when I was seven, I had a pet dachshund that died from choking on a wiener, which I find ironic."
