Ok, I know there are reasons for what he does here, but MY GOD does he make it tough for himself! XD
So good to get such a silly episode! Feels like a really long time! Also, I would say this is our first 'Wesley' episode, and it did not disappoint!
Angel the eunuch was... amazing. XD

I have to say that I don't like the attitude towards Weasley's behaviour in these comments😕. I definitely think it is noway near as bad as what Faith did, but I also don't like how people are trying to excuse it and act like he didn't do anything wrong. Because it is definitely wrong to lie about who you are when you sleep with someone (wheter you're intentionally using the lie or wheter it was not planed that way)! And it he had wanted he could either have taken the risk of telling her or (the smarter move) not go along with her. Now, since Virginia has forgiven him for it I'd agree that we don't need to hold it against him. BUT I think it would have been completely valid for her to hold it against him! And I definitely don't think that it is something you can expect someone to forgive you for per default! So I really don't like the implication of the comments that Weasley's behaviour wasn't wrong and one couldn't really hold it against him! Because one could. And if Virginia hadn't forgiven him, I think one definitely should.

2024-06-07 12:34:15 +0000 UTCWhat was morally reprehensible was what Faith did when she intentionally used Buffy’s body to deceive Riley and sleep with him. In this case Wesley impersonating Angel wasn’t a ploy to have Virginia sleep with him under false pretenses. They end up sleeping together because of the connection they established, the feelings are real on both sides.

2024-06-02 11:43:17 +0000 UTCI love this episode. So cleverly written with some great little jokes in there and comedic cuts to different scenes etc. The next buffy episode is in my top 3 episodes of the whole show. Can't wait for you to watch it!

This episode is really a vaudeville where the comedy derives from people impersonating someone else or being perceived as someone else. Yes what Wesley did with Virginia wasn’t great but within a vaudevillian plot it tracks. It would have been morally wrong if his intention was to deceive her to sleep with her. But he genuinely cared for her and by the end he saved her life.

2024-06-02 03:17:35 +0000 UTCFor Buffy S4 & 5, and Angel S1 & 2, they were on the same network at 8 and 9 PM, so we saw Buffy answer the phone in 4.1, and then Angel call Buffy but not say anything in 1.1 or Harsh Light of Day where Spike finds the Ring of Amara, and In the Dark where Oz delivered it to Angel, and Spike came after it. 5.7 and 2.7 are more of a thematic crossover than a true crossover, but they are worth watching together.

2024-06-02 02:57:37 +0000 UTCGreat episode, I liked ‘Tish’, I think he was being useful to start with, it would have been good if he was for real though. While I also think it’s reprehensible to lie about who you are to get someone to sleep with you, that’s not really the case here, he was pretending to be Angel to protect Cordelia at first and then while he wanted to tell her if he had it could have been dangerous cause he didn’t know if telling her would result in her telling her father, which could have gotten him killed. I think he should have waited until after the case was resolved and then talked to her about it before sleeping with her but at the same time she was kind of insistent, it’s a grey area. I think if the next episodes are meant to be watched back to back and you want to do that, then you could take that break between episodes that you talked about and just stop recording in between as you most likely would, therefore they are really 2 different videos and you could just post them at the same time.

2024-06-01 23:13:50 +0000 UTCOf course Wesley is still part of the group! He just has a girlfriend now! Yes, it was very wrong to be intimate without telling her, but she seems to have forgiven him. I love Wes and I love this episode. I always like it when the show pokes fun at its own tropes, like Wes leading the group out in the classic “marching towards battle” shot. I never ever want you to feel bad about missing a line. I want to hear everything you have to say! I just have to point out my favorite line from the ep, which I don’t think you heard - Angel: Were you in Virginia? Wesley: …That’s besides the point. I am very, very, very excited for the next two episodes 😁😁 Take care of yourself and feel better!
