####### EPISODE SPOILER REVIEW BELOW! APPARENTLY SOME OF YOU ARE WATCHING FOR THE FIRST TIME ALONG SIDE ME, SO PLEASE DON'T READ BEYOND THIS POINT UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE EPISODE YOURSELF! ######

------

Holy Smokes, a lot happens in this one!  We finally feel like we are on the final approach to the finale, but SO MUCH goes wrong in the last couple of scenes! XD

Sorry, I was 100% sure Tera was going to be the 'Yoko effect' in this one! XD I go into my reasonings at the start (as well as talk about Jasper Carrot for no reason).

That penultimate scene was hilarious despite how serious it was!  I do hope that they realise the illogical discrepencies before it is too late (that or Anya and Tera save the day! XD).

Drunk Giles was... not the most subtle side story I have seen, but was still enjoyable! XD "Bloody Hell!" XD

OH!  Btw, one of my brother's favourite lines was NOT Xander or Giles!  It was Spike saying "Why am I not surprised?"  when Adam tells him he likes the Beatles' Helter-Skelter! XD

TWO BUFFY'S NEXT WEEK!

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

As always, if you click the video just after this post, you may need to  download it first.  This should be fixed in a couple of hours!

Veggie, you mentioned George Harrison. I know “Got my Mind Set On You” is not his best effort, but you should check out the original version of that music video…

Agreed. I do also see why Buffy held back with Riley when it comes to her sexual relationship with Angel, though. There is this thing, with many women, where we're socially programmed to think that talking about sex with an ex with a current guy is a no-no. We're told that as soon as a boyfriend hears about that stuff, he won't want us anymore. It's stupid, and I hope that these days it's less of a problem, but I can guarantee you that, at the time this episode came out, worrying about how a guy would react was absolutely a thing. It was just sort of one of these things that "isn't done." When it comes to Riley and Buffy with regards to Angel, I see both sides.

Riley's reaction to the sex thing was totally valid. In the time this show was made, if they were at the point of the relationship that Buffy and Riley were at, they would have been at the point where big secrets weren't supposed to be kept. She presumably told him that she was telling him everything, but she didn't. That's lying. People give Buffy way too many free passes because she's Buffy. Then you add in that she went to see Angel and came back acting oddly while also saying things about Angel and how it went that didn't sound amazing to her current boyfriend. Riley also never felt emasculated by Buffy and her slayerness. He thought it was super neat and wanted to help her. If he ever felt badly about the fact that she continually refused, it would have been because while in one breath she said she didn't want him to help because it was too dangerous but in the next breath had no issues getting her friends to help her instead. I think at this point, the writers are trying to get across that maybe Buffy and Riley aren't the best couple. Riley likely needs someone who is an open book, and Buffy definitely needs someone who is OK with their partner keeping secrets about things. They aren't looking for the same person. Also, people didn't wear those pants all the time. Those were solidly late 80s/early 90s pants.
