So good seeing Spike back, as well as his... new gal.
This was such a fun episode, as well as some interesting character development for Buff!
Also I remark how someone's hair style reminded me of someone... and then it turned out to be that exact same person! XD
And Xander... he has a complicated life.

To this day, anytime I see any tv/movie character dramatically rip a necklace off, I hear Harmony in my head saying "Like you're too good to work a clasp." LOL

However I also think it's the other person's responsibility to be honest about what they want. Neither of them try to start any sort of discussion on the type of relationship they want. You have to be clear from the get-go so guys like this don't waste your time, or at the very least don't jump into bed with someone without having that conversation first. You can't build a healthy relationship without communicating.

2023-10-29 18:03:12 +0000 UTCI love this episode! So many faces coming back, and I think the real first glimpse into Anya as a more fleshed out character. I love her and the way she is portrayed. Buffy really does like using Supernatural elements as metaphors for other more real 'conditions' and 'situations' for broad terms, and I can definitely see Anya as a character representing someone neurodivergent. My husband and two daughters are all Autistic and the way Anya thinks and expresses herself are so familiar to what I hear every day from them in so many ways.

2023-10-29 16:22:26 +0000 UTCREPOST to remove potential semi-spoiler I realized a bit too late! I love this episode. Not only does it have Spike, which is a boon all by itself, but it brings back Harmony, who we saw fall to a vampire on Graduation Day. There is something weirdly sweet about her mixed in with the spoiled mean girl and evil vampire. I hate how Spike treats Harmony, because we saw with Drusilla that he is capable of much better. For me, I attribute it to several factors: 1) There is a strong bond between Spike and Dru from the old Angelus days, of which we saw a glimpse of their dynamic when Angel went bad in Season 2. 2) When Drusilla was weakened by that mob in Prague, she NEEDED Spike in a way that no one else had. 3) When she was back to full strength, she was his equal or better. 4) Harmony's "need" for Spike is clinginess, which isn't a pleasant thing. 5) He doesn't see her as his equal in any way. 6) Finally, Harmony is Spike's rebound girl, and he doesn't view her as a long-term relationship. It's also *highly* doubtful that he loves her. Certainly not compared to Drusilla, of whom he must have spoken about to Harmony since she knew the name. That's my take on it, anyway. It doesn't excuse or justify his treatment of her in any way, of course. Parker is...BLECH. As others have said here, there's nothing wrong with wanting something casual and a one-off, but be HONEST about it. I think Parker gets off on the manipulation and conquest, and I get narcissistic sociopath vibes off him. Bet his dad is alive and kicking, too.

For the 5th time i'm guessing i will tell comments. 1 shot vanilla vodka, 1 shot butterscotch schnaps, 6 oz cream soda + some whipped cream on to. 2023-10-28 01:41:09 +0000 UTCHappy Birthday, Veggie. It's one thing to be a player, but it's not right if you aren't upfront about it. Nothing he said prior to being shown to be a douchebag would lead her, or any girl, to think that's his plan. This is a good episode, for sure. So much happens in it, and so many characters are re-introduced. Anya is great. She's not aware of a lot of things because she's been a demon for so long. It's always interesting to see a "different" type of character in a show. I don't know what Willow's jacket is about because it's only September or October. It would likely have been in at least the low 60s or higher, but what's reality? Also, it was might convenient for them that everyone suddenly disappeared from the school so they could have that fight without interruptions. Add me to the list of those who thought you were making a dirty joke at the what would you regret part. The Spike/Harmony thing always makes me flinch. My marriage (no longer in) and childhood were both abusive, so it rings true. I think they did this for two reasons. One is to show that Spike is a vampire and vampires aren't good. He's been away for a while, so a reminder could have been needed. Also, it shows that he didn't love Harmony. He loved Drusilla and treated her entirely differently, and this shows.
