Ok... I think this may be my favourite episode, guys.  So many amazingly funny, scary and downright heartbreaking moments!

Also.. I predict something JUST before it happens.  You may be able to tell I am pretty happy with myself! XD

What the heck was Xander thinking with all those chocolates...

Love you guys! Be sure to rate and review this episode below! I love reading your thoughts!  Also.. what would YOUR nightmare be?

EDIT! - You may be able to hear Woozle at some point! sorry about that! XD

My recurring nightmare is spiders on me when I'm sleeping. My biggest waking fear is being homeless with no family or friends just wandering the streets alone until I die.

I love this episode one of my favs of season one lots of heart and comedy and Xander being the first one to mater his fear is class

Love this episode, one of Season 1's best for sure. I love how BtVS always mixes the drama and comedy so perfectly together makes for such a roller coasters of a journey. Would love you to also check out Angel at some stage as well as Firefly and Serenity if you don't already know those too.

Buffys Converstaion with her father alwayd hit so hard. It is just so real and that makes it so cruel. The Idea that maybe it was you, maybe if you hab been better, then your parents would be happier... It is so hard to silence thise voices in your head, imagine a parent actually saying them to your face.

Yeah, I totally agree with you Diego!! It’s so interesting how your perspective changes. I think reflecting on it now as an adult imagining saying that to younger family of mine breaks my heart even more. It’s sadder now I understand being the parent and the child. Buffy’s relationship with her dad is something that I think is foundational to her character so these moments are so important 😌

Nice one for calling the "naked in class" thing! I agree, I really liked this episode and how it mixed absolutely horrifying and tragic nightmares with really funny ones like Cordelia's😅. Also something I was thinking about since you were questioning whether Buffy's dad was real or not in the nightmare scene: What if he was real, but couldn't control his own actions (just like Xander didn't seem to be fully himself in the chocolate scene) and so part of his worst nightmare was beeing unable to stop himself from saying those horrible things to Buffy?😥

Diego Zenhäusern

Yeah, when I watched this episode a few years ago I couldn't really appreciate how horrible and traumatizing Buffy's nightmare with her dad really was. But seeing it again really drove home how horrible this would be! And I think her great performance certainly helped a lot with that!🙂

Diego Zenhäusern

Loved it!

This is my favourite of the season besides the finale, I think. I feel like we are really settling into the characters!!! Also yes, SMG is so amazing!! Her comedic timing but also ability in more dramatic, emotional scenes is really impressive. I love her so much. I don’t have that much love for the witch, something about the lighting and tone puts me off a bit. I feel like it looks like it was shot in a cupboard or something. Maybe just me lol.

This is my favorite episode of S1. This is what Buffy does best: take a creepy premise and use it to explore our characters. (And make Buffy cry!)

Good episode. Although there is another similar episode in a later series that I get it muddled up with. I think the other one better actually. This one is a solid 7.2/10 though. You were dead-on with the scooby-doo ending. It was a little cheesy. Actually buffy and friends are sometimes referred to as the “scooby gang”

Garry (Not Jerry)

Oh wow, you’re right about him looking like a young Joseph Gordon Levitt. Good call.

Buffy, the show, is like pizza to its fans. (I think, anyway.) Even a "bad" episode is still considered pretty good. So you can stop being afraid of liking one everyone hates. LOL That's very unlikely to happen. For instance, to me, this is a 5 or 6 out of 10 episode. But, watching you enjoy it so much made me reconsider. LOL One gets so used to how amazing an actress SMG is that one forgets how amazing she is in this episode. And, you're right, she absolutely is, and so are the actors who play Willow, Xander and Giles. The actor who plays Billy looks a lot like a young Joseph Gordon-Levitt, so that may be why he looks so familiar to you. That was certainly the case for me. He's not a young Joseph Gorden-Levitt, though. I have so many irrational fears that I wouldn't know where to start. I'm mostly afraid of people in a very abstract sort of way. Social anxiety. So I'm not entirely sure how a nightmare world would "improve" on what the normal world already has to offer in that regard. ::shrug:: It is what it is and it's mostly fine. I'm just saying....
