Hi gang!  Thanks again for your amazing support!  So sorry this has taken so long to get out, I have learned a lot about how better to do things this time. :)

It should now be a little easier for you to sync your copy of Chamber of Secrets Extended edition with time stamps and short clips appearing here and there.  I'll make sure I get better at counting you in too (sorry, I messed that up a couple of times here XD).

What a movie and... they really do get DARKER than THIS???

Comments

Quirrell and lockhart are both Ravenclaw as is Flitwick, Warwick Davies' professor character is head of ravenclaw. Also the blood was from the roosters that you see hagrid carrying as basilisks feared them, so ginny had to kill them for the basilisk.

Man, I've just started to rewatch these reactions and I knew I liked them, but they are even better than I remembered! You're just great Veggie and I'm looking forward to rewatching movie 3 with you😊 Also: "Never try to save my live again" just always makes me so sad😭

Diego Zenhäusern

Ooh, maybe! Very interesting!

VEGGIE GAMER

I wonder if Moaning Myrtle is based on Hanako the Bathroom ghost from Japanese Urban Legends.

Thomas Gabriel White

Ooh that is awesome!! :D

VEGGIE GAMER

Yes, you are right!! When my brother watched my reaction he told me he always associates that actor with Red Dwarf first XD

VEGGIE GAMER

Oh, and the head of Ravenclaw is Professor Flitwick (the one who taught the kids to make feathers fly).

Oouga

Papa Weasley (LOL) was also in Red Dwarf as Peterson. :-)

Oouga

Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle, not related.

Oouga

My cats are/ were: Mister Neville Mistoffles, Rose Cleo Tyler, and Howlin' Mad Murdock.

Oouga

Thanks so much Deigo! Yeah I definitely spoke too soon with the spiders comment XD And yeah I am really enjoying these movies so much! :)

VEGGIE GAMER

Veggie Gamer (In the beginning, right before we see the petrified Mrs. Norris): "I don't like spiders!" Me *cackling evilly*: "Oh, boy, just you wait until you meet Aragog and his lovely family! xD" And I really wasn't let down by the reaction in that part🙈😅 But I really enjoyed your reaction in general! It was always funny or insightful. You always talk enough to keep it entertaining but never so much that you miss to many important things. And it's also great to see how much you seem to like this movies!😁 Also: Props to you for immediately figuring out that Moaning Myrtle was the gir that died 50 years ago (after Aragog mentioned it), I don't think many people will catch that their first time watching the movie!

Diego Zenhäusern

Yeah I can definitely imagine that being the case with other houses and minor characters. In fact I think I even speculate some of them in Prisoner probably being a lot more fleshed out in the books. I guess there are always going to be limitations in movie adaptions :/ Oh that is great that your goddaughter and son are getting into these! Just around the age of the characters start off as too! :)

VEGGIE GAMER

The "Problem" with the films is, that ost of the Quidditch action gets cut and that is, where we meat the most students from the other houses. Because there are teams and a few players are always mentioned. It's this "oh a new character" in the film and you are like "already met him in the books" My goddaughter any my youngest son are now sort of starting with the books, they are both 12 and usually we have sleepovers during the weekends and I read to them (and they read themselves) - I mean it's more then 20 years for me... I hope someday JK Rowling will come up with another great series (no cursed child junk, please)

Dara Jeeling

Nice work Jajus!! Thanks! Yeah I had no idea we had already seen so many Ravenclaws!

VEGGIE GAMER

Some people who were in the first (1) and second (2) movie who were in Ravenclaw are the Moaning Myrtle (2), Filius Flitwick (1,2) - Warwick Davis, taught them the wingardium leviosa charm and he is also the head of the Ravenclaw, Gilderoy Lokckhart (2) - Kenneth Branagh, Quirrell (1) - Ian Hart, professor who played the defense against the dark arts, the one who had Voldemort on the back of his head. And this is everyone I could think of on top of my head that were in the first 2 movies alone.

Jajus333

Thanks so much Dara! Very interesting information and it makes a lot of sense! Much appreciated! :)

VEGGIE GAMER

Also... because you said all the Weasleys are Gryffindor... Yes, they are and their parents were as well. The Sorting head did consider putting the twins into Slytherin though but Fred choose Gryffindor and because Gearge did not want to be seperated from his borther both became Gryffindor. A lot of "Pure Blood" families have ties to certain houses Harrys parents were both Gryffindor as well. Syltherin has hardly any half blood wizards and I do not think has ever had a Muggle born (but I might be wrong on that one) - since the founder had his ideas and the sorting hat has the ideas of the founders to help him choose. Ravenclaws are extremely intelligent (the hat did consider putting Hermione in Ravenclaw, but she also choose Gryffindor) Hufflepuffs are loyal and hard working Slytherins are cunning Gryffindors are brave BUT as said you can choose IF the hat takes more then more than 4 minutes to decide that is calle "hat stall" and tha rarely happens - but it happened to McGonagall (who was then put into Gryffindor), Dumbledore (he also was Gryffindor) and (since you watched the third movie already and it's not mentioned in the movies) Peter Pettigrew - before he also got sorted into Gryffindor. Hermione was a near hat stall. Also, a head of house was a student of that house Head od Houses are McGonagall (also deputy headmistress) for Gryffindor Snape for Slytherin Flitwick (Warwick Davis) for Ravenclaw Pomona Sprout for Hufflepuff

excited! Maybe this will make my evening - after 12 hours working XD The first two movies stay realtively close to the books The third film misses a lot of information on the background of the marauders (Moonie, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs) And afterwards... The books got to long - if they would have wanted to keep up that would have made two movies per book (I would have loved that - more of Alan Rickman) What is already missing even in film 2 is the information that the Weasleys have way more children Bill (you will meet him later) Charlie (who is a Dragon Tamer in Bulgaria and he is the one that took the baby dragon in the first book away from Hagrid) Percy (the Prefect/Head Boy), Fred and George, Ron and Ginny so 7 kids all in all. Also missing is the information that Ro uses a hand me down wand from Bill (if I remember correctly) which is why he is not taht good as Harry and Hermione - since you can use family wands but the best working wands have choosen their wizard. The same goes for Neville - he also uses a "family" wand that does not work as good for him as a new one would. Thank you for your love of Snape (who is and has always been my favorite character - even if the book version is a lot more mean and viscious)

Dara Jeeling

Thanks so much Dara! Very interesting, that makes a lot of sense about the roosters! This is very interesting, I have heard the books some things very different and add a lot. I may see if I can work out a way of incorporating them into videos or maybe reviewing them when I am done. Really appreciate the support! Just about to get on with editing Prisoner right now! :)

VEGGIE GAMER

Can't tell you how much I loved you "I love both of them, but I am on Team Snape" - totally... *laughs* This is not dark - compared to what is ahead. The blood was roosters blood (it's explained in the books, that Hagrids Roosters get killed, because the call of a Rooster can kill a basilisk) - so Tom Riddle made Ginny call the Roosters. People who just watch the movies miss out on a lot of things, starting with film three - since the books get bigger and longer. Can't wait for the next one

Dara Jeeling

Hi Nawal!! Thank you so much I am really glad you are enjoying these, I am loving the movies so far! As for a schedule, I am afraid I am currently having to do them when I can. I also do all my editing, which is probably taking me longer than it needs to. I hope to get each out without a fortnight of eachother though, I am sorry if that seems like a long time (the better I get at editing them the fast they should appear).

VEGGIE GAMER

I loved your reactions and how into the characters you are! I can't wait to watch the rest of the movies with you. Do you have a posting schedule or are you just doing it whenever you get the chance? Either way I can't wait!

Nawal Farrukh

So glad you are enjoying rewatching with me, Amanda! Yeah from what I hearing from the comments I am getting a lot of people didn't know about the extended versions (luckily a subscriber pointed out that the first 2 had them before I started). Hope it wasn't too fiddly to re-sync and I can't wait for the next one!!

VEGGIE GAMER

It's been so much fun rewatching the first two movies with you so far :) I don't have the extended editions, so I had a few places where I had to play around with things to line it back up, but it mostly worked out :D Can't wait to see more!

Amanda S

Aww thank you so much Noaa!! Very nice of you to say! I am really looking forward to seeing where the series goes next (even if it IS much darker.. 0_0)!

VEGGIE GAMER

Your reactions have been awesome so far. It's always hard to find someone with blind reactions to this series with how popular it is, and even more so to find particularly entertaining ones. Yes, the movies get MUCH darker than this ;) Good luck on getting through the rest of them. I look forward to it.

Noaa

Glad you enjoyed that part, Michael! (I certainly didn't XD)

VEGGIE GAMER

Good reaction. :) I loved your reactions to the spiders. lol
