MOVIE/TV REVIEW BRAINSTORM

Hey guys! In my pursuit of monetizing the new channel, I want to gently wade into the review genre of YouTube. BUT...since that's a totally oversaturated market, what would you like to see me do DIFFERENTLY that others aren't doing?

Examples like bite-sized reviews (i.e. "Multiverse of Madness 2 Minute Review") or maybe a different angle on talking about it? Let me know below and I'll make a poll to see what you guys want, thanks!

Well playing into your mashup strengths, maybe some sort of crowd meter. Get audio of audience reactions to identify moments that really struck a chord, and maybe even moments that the creators THOUGHT would strike a chord and didn't. Talk to those, and examine those. You could even metricize and categorize them as emotional beats, pandering, shock value, etc.

Hmm, well I like the idea of reviews. Maybe interspersed with your own personal knowledge of any literature involved i.e. related Marvel comics content, or any books. But to really stand out... I'm not terribly imaginative, sadly, but I'll try to think of something good! I like the interviews with reactors idea, and maybe it would be cool to do a roundtable with several of the reactors, on...well, any subject, like their favorite movies or tv shows of 2022 so far. But I love your reactions best, and the idea of doing movies in addition to tv shows sounds pretty awesome!!!

Possibly a True Score vs Critical Score kind of debate. Like a "How well it's made" versus "How good is it REALLY"? Maybe a little of fan perspective in there as well, kind of a review from all angles perspective.

Haiku-style reviews! For those who may not know, it’s a three-line poem with the first and third lines using five syllables and the second with seven syllables.

Great ideas, thank you!

How about retrospective reviews?

Maybe consider picking popular shows that don’t have many reviewers. For example, Atlanta is popular and thought provoking, but not many people review it. Not sure how much reviewing will occur in 2 mins, however there are already a lot of short reviews (around 10 mins). Not sure how to make the reviews unique other than with your brand of humor.

Bite-sized reviews would be good, the other channels essentially repeat themselves for 10 minutes cos they can’t talk about any spoilers
