One-Shot: The Mosquito Witch - May 27, 2022

I (Stephen) am going to be running a one-shot on May 27 but first I need a few players - which is where you come in. This will be a first-come, first-serve though our $10 patrons get first dibs. After that, I'll be opening it up to our $5 patrons (15th), a few days later to our $1 patrons (19th), and then it will be open to anyone on our Discord (22nd). I have room for 6 players in the one-shot. If you are in one of the lower tiers, feel free to message me beforehand and I'll add you to the waiting list.

Time: May 27, 2022 [20220527] 6pm EDT to about 10pm EDT [10pm UTC to about 2am UTC]

The adventure: We will be playing with Dungeons & Dragons 5e and the scenario The Mosquito Witch by Paizo publishing.

Decades ago, witnesses reported a fearsome cryptid outside of the quiet River Kingdoms town of Shimmerford. Dubbed the Mosquito Witch, it was rarely seen since and quickly became a beloved local legend that the town celebrates and promotes to attract visitors. But when recent attacks began savaging livestock and townsfolk alike, many have started believing the Mosquito Witch was real all along. The PCs travel to Shimmerford to unravel the cryptid mystery, but might they just become the witch's next victim?

For character generation:

- Characters are made using the Dungeons & Dragons 5e ruleset

- Standard Stat Array or Point Buy

- Level the character up to 4th level

- Characters are restricted to Player's Handbook, Volo's Guide to Monsters, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes.

- Magic items can be selected from the Dungeon Master's Guide, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, or Xanathar's Guide to Everything. You can select up to 2 common items and 1 uncommon item.

- Multiclassing and Feats are allowed

- We will be interacting with humanoids and fey.

- No evil characters. Your characters should want to be part of the story and be interested in what happens next. They should be proactive and want to figure things out without being dragged along.

Before the game:

- Send me your character sheet (or I'll send you a pre-gen before the game if you so wish)

- Set up an account on Roll20

- Select a character token/portrait and send it to me so I can set it up on Roll20

Helpful tips:

- Due to time constraints, I'll be pacing combat quickly.

- If you build a character, I can recommend DnDBeyond and the Beyond20 extension.

- Ensure you have a working microphone (phone or computer mic is fine) and working speakers/headphones.

Background: For the background of your character, you are an adventuring group on Golarion, looking to take on jobs and mysteries.
