Whether you love them or hate them, giants have long been a part of RPGs. For a time, they felt like the THING to fight as there is no shortage of giant-focused books like Against the Giants, Giantcraft, and more! While we have something like Storm King's Thunder, it just isn't quite the giant slaying adventure one would hope for. I love including giants in my games, there is something quite satisfying about the small folk fighting against behemoths that weigh tons and tons, swinging massive weapons that can knock a castle over in a single hit.
Bog Giant (CR 3) At home in bogs and swamps, these are the lowest of all giants. Violent and cruel, these giants are quick to attack any creature they are bigger than. Word on the street is, they don't like being called Shrek.
Deep Giant (CR 8) In the deepest of oceans, where the water pressure is enough to kill, are the deep giants. These isolated giants have little interest in the surface, caught up in their own mysterious far below.
Forest Giant (CR 4) Protectors of the forest and woodlands, they hate hill giants who just uproot trees and destroy nature. They have an innate magic about them that allows them to talk to trees and animals, giving them advance warning when adventurers are destroying what they hold dear.
Mountain Giant (CR 11) The strongest of these new giants, mountain giants enjoy playing games of throwing rocks at small folk who intrude on their mountain tops. They keep to their mountains, never venturing down unless forced to by only the strongest of all giants, which causes them to go into a furious frenzy. Perhaps there is too much oxygen below the tree line for their tastes.
Shadow Giant (CR 9) Hated and despised by almost every giant out there, the shadow giants are truly alien and otherworldy. They appear as mere shadows, like sinister undead, but they are still quite alive. While they rarely venture to the material world, when they do it is said that only death and grave danger follows them.
