This week we are looking at a variety of inventors we can add to our games. Inventors are always getting in trouble, looking for rare materials, or wanting to test out their new inventions on (or maybe with) adventurers.
Engineer (CR 2) Experts in materials, structures, machines, and more - this inventor is focused on working with metal, wood, and more to create new vehicles. If they get in a fight, they can draw on their knowledge of materials and destroy armor and give your players a bad day.
Turtle Vehicle This vehicle is inspired from Leonardo da Vinci's tank vehicle. While that one featured light cannons, this vehicle has ballistae circling it.
Experimental Armorist (CR 3) While they are fairly weak, especially for mid or high tier adventurers, they have created a device that makes them quite dangerous...
Clockwork Armor (CR 9) If you want mechs, you get mechs. This suit of armor can only be occupied by its creator, the armorist, and turns them from a CR 3 threat to a CR 9 one.
Mad Alchemist (CR 1) Who needs a potion? Who needs a potion that is safe and probably won't explode soon? Not this guy. This alchemist is all about living fast and mixing chemicals quickly, all to help give them an edge in battle.
Smokepowder Shootist (CR 5) While not every setting has firearms, there may be a few people in any world that can harness the power of volatile powder that sends projectiles at tremendous speeds. This inventor is not just book smart, but also quite an adept adventurer.
