Drakes - Pt. 2 [Monster Thursday]

It's no secret I like dragons, so I've created a few more dragon-cousins this week that can help scratch that itch for more dragons. For those who don't know, I've made Drakes previously for a Monster Thursday (Link) but is 6 drakes enough? I think not. Here are 7 more drakes to help populate your world and give your players more chances to be brutally eaten by a dragon!

Cloud Drake (CR 3) Inspired by lung dragons, though with wings, these drakes soar through the sky and rarely deign to set foot (claw?) on land.

Desert Drake (CR 8) These drakes reside in the deserts and enjoy burrowing under the sand and waiting for prey to come to them. They don't much care if the prey happens to be a few camels, a trading caravan, or just a small scorpion they can munch on.

Fey Drake (CR 6) Originating from the Feywild, these colorful and beautiful drakes appear almost like butterflies with hypnotic wings. They use these hypnotizing wings to daze their prey before swooping in for the kill.

Frost Drake (CR 3) Found in the frozen arctic, these drakes like to find the highest spot in their territory where they blend into a frozen cliff face and watch the world below them.

Mud Drake (CR 5) This one might be the grossest dragon I ever create. With two bulbous eyes, no wings, and a massive tail, these creatures look more like they just crawled out of a primordial soup than a proper dragon. Their inspiration are mudskippers, with slimy bodies, large flippers, and lots of mud.

Shadow Drake (CR 6) From the Shadowfell, they rarely venture to the surface world where the bright sun burns and blinds them. Instead, they choose to dwell in caves or in other dark places.

Urban Drake (CR 2) Almost exclusively dwelling in cities, these small dragons are often thought of as pests by most people but they have caught the attention of nobles looking to make a statement. Many of these drakes will allow themselves to become pets, so long as they are given a weekly allowance (for their hoard) and lots of food to satisfy themselves.
