Lindworms Pt. 2 [Monster Thursday]

My last Monster Thursday on dragons... at least for a few weeks... No promises. -Stephen

This week I'm doing the last group of lindworms that I wasn't able to get to last week... It's also the first "Part 2" for Monster Thursday despite the increasing number of "Part 1"s I keep creating. I need to do more Faces of Sigil, Faces of the Inner Planes, Manual of the Planes, and more... Eventually I'll do another part 2, but it's just so much fun creating more and more different types of monsters!

I provide a bit more lore about the lindworm in this, revealing that they are slowly going extinct (gasp!) and that maybe... just maybe... they are gentle giants (alright, I'm lying about that part - they are assholes).

Corpse Tearer (CR 28) Often thought to be the 'ruler' or 'lord' of the lindworms, many hope there is only one of it in existence. This is a creature of pure destruction and hatred for any living creature. Its breath weapon is used for draining the strength out of those it fights as well as paralyzing them in place.

Dread Lindworm (CR 25) If you ever thought you've seen them all, take a look at the dread lindworm. It has two heads, and it has a very distinct advantage over the other lindworms. It can blast you with its breath weapon on one head and then swoop in with its other head to eat you. Good luck.

Flame Lindworm (CR 26) This beautiful specimen appears like a sentient fireball, twisting and pulling its enormous girth across the world and setting it alight. It enjoys spraying its sticky fire breath on pretty much anything, delighting in a world burning to cinders.

Gray Lindworm (CR 20) While it may not be as powerful as its brethren, it is beautiful and unique in its own way. With acidic grease that coats and destroys metal, it's a highly valued specimen sought after by alchemists, poisoners, assassins, and so much more.

Midgard Lindworm (CR 26) Our final lindworm is the mythical and ancient beast created by the Midgard Serpent itself. It's rumored there is only one in all of existence and resides at the bottom of the seafloor, claiming dominion over any creature that swims along its depths.

That's all for this week, if you have a group of monsters you'd like to see in a future Monster Thursday, let me know in the comments!
