Abstracted Warfare (abridged) - v1.1

Hey everyone! Just thought I'd let everyone know that the latest version of my Abstracted Warfare system is up for everyone to enjoy. Not a huge amount of changes, but I've gotten a chance to run it through its paces a lot more and I'm still very happy with the results. Instead, this was focused on clarifying rules, adjusting terminology, and providing a bit more guidance.

You can find it here on GM Binder.
Or check the attached file for a PDF of it.
If you are a patron, you can find a printer-friendly version of it in the usual places.

For a bit of backstory on this, I created this with the goals of:

- Create a single stat block for an entire enemy with less focus on individual units (though there are still specialty units to help customize an army).

- Create a stat block as close to D&D 5th edition rules as many people dislike learning new rules, especially for something they are only planning on doing a few times. I'd give myself a B on that, most rules are very close to the source material, but several things differentiate it. You'll have to read the rules before doing a lot with this, but it should mostly feel familiar.

- Be able to use it for an entire campaign. If you are doing a campaign focused on wars and mass combat, this is created with that in mind. If you are doing a single one-shot where the fighting is going on in the background, this isn't it for you.

Now, I'm not done with this system, not by a long shot. You might have wondered about the title of this post and the (abridged) thrown in there. While this document is 44 pages, and don't worry, it's not 100% dense with rules those 44 pages cover a wide amount of topics like weather and paying soldiers, that's still not enough. There are lots of spots in these rules that need to be worked on.

I am planning out the extended rules for this that will take the rules provided here and expand on them and flesh them out. There is a lot of information that needs to be added, like how do you handle an ancient dragon in combat? or how do you make specialty units more special? and more.
